I do have deficiencies of Cortisol and DHEA and Aldosterone, which I know of. My concern with using Pregnenolone is that one does not know what it is going to convert to. I am concerned it may convert a lot to Estrogen or maybe progesterone. For this reason I am wondering if it would be better to supplement the actual hormones I need like Cortisol and DHEA, or use pregnenolone and hope it converts to the hormones I am deficient in.

I took 20mg DHEA twice today and I noticed a great difference, especially with the first dose. |

| http://www.worldhealth.net/p/anti-ag...,search,1.html try here. supplementing with dhea, pregnenolone, and hydrocortisone all together is complicated business. I wouldn't want to be doing this on my own--even with a good cook book of protocols (which I've got!). We've all heard stories of guys adding hormones and feeling good for a while and then losing whatever good feeling they've had because the doses or meds were wrong. |

I once found a doctor off of the www.worldhealth.net website and he ended up being a joke. An expensive joke at that. There are very few physicians out there that have the required knowledge in this field for me to feel sufficiently comfortable with them, without double checking what they are doing. It is sad to say, that I am more knowledgeable on HRT than any doctor I have encountered to date. There are very few SWALE's out there. If it were not for boards like this and of course SWALE's tremendous contributions, I would be very much the worse off. At least now I know what I am dealing with. I think it is very important that anybody needing HRT know quite a bit about the subject, especially these days. Perhaps one day when HRT becomes as common as treating the Flu, then it won't be necessary. |

Dr. Suzie Schuder, a psychiatrist in Newport Beach ,CA uses hormone replacement in lieu of psychotropics where appropriate. She has treated with bio-identicl hydrocortisone replacement in cortisol deficient patients--1-949-722-9884 or sschuder@yahoo.com |

Headdoc, The doc I am currently seeing wanted to do 200mg T Cypionate Injections every 2 weeks. I had to do a lot of convincing for him to consider SWALE's protocol. He said that he would and we are currently working on that. BTW, from your Nickname, are you a doctor? |

The doctor I am seeing is a great guy. He listens, doesn't have an ego and is open minded. I am fortunate. Regarding all of my questions, I am just trying to learn, like everybody else. Last edited by 1cc; 06-11-2005 at 04:33 PM. |
