Dht level high

Have dht level of 4902.0 on ref. range of 155-553. What is a realistic level for dht and side effects if it stays elevated? To try and lower switched from andrgel (2 Packs) to 100mg Depo testerone per week.

First things first, get that lab redone. I can't believe that's an accurate figure.

As for what's a good level, well that all depends on the person. Some feel best low and some better when high. Some even go above the limit but are just fine and suffer no ill effects.

As for the sides there's the obvious acne and hair loss. Also, if you have prostate problems already in the works then DHT can affect that as well. It won't affect a normal prostate....that's just a bunch of malarky someone keeps spreading.

I am having labs rerun in about 4 weeks. I thought they seemed really high compared to results found on other threads. Thanks for the help.

Got labs results back, dht now at 993. Don't know if it was the switch or if first results inaccurate.

Well, I would guess that it was innacurate but now is accurate. At 993, it is a little high but nothing any different than what is seen around here. How is the E2?

SWALE doen't like to go higher than twice the top of the range. So 993 is okay, but warrants keeping an eye on it.

Don't know E2? Have problem getting doctor to check it. Still looking for better doctor.
