First off I wanted to say I stumbled across this site a few weeks ago and have found it to extremely beneficial. Now I am hoping someone can give me advise on my problem that just came up today.
Some brief background info, I'm 52 years old and was struggling for the last few years with constant tiredness and no libido, I thought it would eventually get better. It never did. So I finally went to a Urologist last March, they did some blood work and found out my T level was 189. So he prescribed
Androgel, I used that for about three months and had minimal satisfaction. So the doctor put me on
Testosterone injections in July, prescribed 200 mg every two weeks. I read on here that the best way to take them was to split once a week. It literally changed my life, finally I felt normal; more energy renewed libido. I even started working out again.
So this morning I go back to the doctor, meanwhile my original doctor moved out of state back home so I my appointment is with one of the other doctors. The first thing he says is your Hemoticrit (sp) level is 53.8, I am discontinuing your T until it gets back under 50. Well when I originally went to the doctor it was 49.9.
I asked him if he noticed what my T level was when I initially went there and he says,
it's a little low but not that bad keep in mind your age. I'm at a loss, and was totally devastated all day, just when things are progressing this happens.
Sorry about rambling, I just had to vent.
