hCG test with old labs possible?

My doctor says that my insurance won't cover having 2 blood tests for hormons in one month. I can only get it checked once a month. I explained to the doctor that an hCG stim tests requires me to have lab work done, then the hCG and 3 days later to get the lab work done again. We argued for a while. He said that my last labs (1 month ago) would have to do as a baseline. Those labs were taken after being off the testosterone for almost a month. It was my lowest test results to date. 1.34ng (Reference range of 2.1 - 7.5)

Using those as a baseline I got a 5000iu injection of hCG (And I feel much better). In 3 days I will get another set of labs done. Will this work? Using 1 month old labs as a baseline? I'm trying to figure out if I am primary or secondary. My sperm count is also improving now that I'm off the test.

5000iu of HCG is way too high. You are going to desensitize your testicles to HCG and become primary.

From the hCG stimulation test protocols it's a normal dosage. I did my research just to make sure. It's not a weekly shot, just one to see what happens.
