While I am waiting for a vitual consultation with Dr. Crisler, I would appreciate some help interpreting my lab results.
48yr old male
Symptoms:
-tired all the time / no energy / fatigue
-chronic pain in neck, shoulders, lower back due to a cervical lamenctomy
-decreased motivation
-low-grade depression
-insomnia
-good libido though
Any help in interpreting this will be greatly appreciated. I realize it looks as if I have adrenal fatigue and possibly hypothyroid. Thanks for any input
Maybe so, but I`m wondering about the CRP, HDL, and cholesterol.
CRP is an indicator of the amount of inFlamation going on sonewhere in your body. Yours is in the top % of the top %. Got an infection or autoaimmune disease ? Lacking anither cause, CRP is a pretty good indicator vulnerable arterial plaque and predictor af heart attack or stroke.
But with a HDL of 99 your arteries ought to be squeaky clean. Sure that s right ? Wheres the LDL ? Total cholesterol would be better in the long run if it were lower.
Cant believe the HDL.
Theres a small population in Silicy that have naturally high HDL. ARe you one of them?
Just got my labs back today from the hospital and yes, my HDL is 99 (40-59) and LDL is 69 (50-99).
CRP is 4.4 (0.0-0.5) Could a cervical lamenctomy be causing the inflammation? Or arthritis? This when it all began over a decade ago and it has just gotten worse the past 2 years.
I1d kill to have those numbers> I`m taking atorvastatin, gemfibrozil and zetia , eat like a monk and LDL is still above 100. Where the justice Is lamectomy another term for cervical discectomy with fusion. Except for your neck, do your joints hurt especially in th morning ?
Those numbers don't mean sh_t if you don't feel well
I have worked out, exercised, and participated in sports since I was 11yrs old. Followed a healthy diet since I was 18yrs old.
In 1992 I had a cervical lamenectomy, where they removed the facets on my spine from C-2 TO C-6. I have had chronic pain and fatigue ever since. Like I said, I am a Type A personality, and can get very compulsive. The past 3 years I have brought my team to the state finals winning this past year. I was offered a coaching position at a Div. I college and had to turn it down due to the fear of not having the proper drive and motivation to perform. That was the last straw. I went to Dr Crisler last Feb. and my Doc refused to run the lab tests. Finally, I got fed up and demanded he DO SOMETHING. So, he ran the tests, and I am just waiting to get a virtual consultation with Dr. Crisler. In the meantime, I would like to have an idea of what is going on. As good of a Dr. as Dr. Crisler is....nobody cares about my health like I do. And I want to find some answers. I really do appreciate your help and input. I am just sick and tired of being sick and tired THANKS!!!!
AMEN to that !
I felt like shit untill I started myself on Trt a month ago. I`m now 58 goin on 38.
No joint pain huh ?
My wife had c5-7 discectomy with fusion a few years ago. Chronic pain will wear you out., Bet you dont like the pain meds either. I`d try to find out whats causing the CRP #. That might be your whole problem. Are you sure the fatique was coincident with the neck surgery? Recovery was about 6-12 months waswnt it.

Stop Arimidex.
Add HCG 250iu/E2D, or 500iu on days of T shots.
Get better e2 test.
ZKT,
Yes, I do believe it is connected. I can remember exactly when I began to feel so terrible. It was in April 92'. Almost overnight. It took the doctors until the end of 92 to tell me that my spinal cord was flattened in 3 places with several discs and vertebrae crushed. The fatigue seems to stem from the pain. I was diagnosed years ago as myofascial pain syndrome (a fancy way of saying I have muscle spasms). Hopefully, Dr. Crisler will get to the bottom of this. Thanks for your input
I see low cortisol so you need to treat this to give your adrenals a rest and your thyroid is low some Armour would help this. But first get your adrenals stable. Your LH nad FSH is low but this happens when your on TRT your brain stops sending the LH and FSH messages to your testis. If you were not on TRT then I would say your Secondary.
