I started on Thyroid meds Armout +T4+T3 about 6 months ago and came off hydrocortisone at the same time. I noticed Libido down but not out. Got a saliva test for Adrenals which showed low, also did the test with blood pressure sitting and then standing , it used to go up on standing but now it drops, anyone know low adrenals can cause low libido?????????????????

1 ainslie -- is the doc who told you adrenals aren't the issue the same one who took you off of the hydrocortisone the same exact time you started your thyroid meds?? If so, you may seriously want to consider attaining the services of another physician before doing yourself more harm. You may also want to get some more labs performed including thyroid tests and you may want to consider an ACTH stim test in order to check adrenal reserve. This will serve as somewhat of a baseline before re-starting hydrocortisone (while slowly ramping up) which i strongly recommend as it seems, based on your short description of symptoms, you're hammering your adrenals with the thyroid meds. Recommend HC be administered under the care of a (new?) physician while monitoring blood tests, temps, pulse, libido, etc. |

Yes, anything can make your libido decrease. It really sucks to be in your situation, I've been there before. Do what ozzie says, he's got the right idea but in the meantime you could get a natural herbal enhancer. I've found them to really work in providing a great libido that makes me horny every time need be. There it is male enhancers which has helped me. If you have any questions just get back to me, I'm always around |
