been feelin like crap for the last two years so I finally got to a urologist to get my T levels checked.
total T came back at 260, free T was 5.9, and estradiol was normal. so the doc put me on 5mg of androgel once a day. i started taking it last wednesday and haven't noticed anything. he told me to come back in 3 months to get another blood work analysis done and adjustments will be made to my TRT treatmeant if necessary. how long did it take for you guys to notice a difference in your energy level and libido? what can I expect. thanks

It will take at least a few weeks. You need to be retested way sooner then 3 months. Your bodies production will shutdown pretty quick and you need to see where you are after 2-3 weeks. I would guess that 5g will make your levels worse.

Most people on gels I see are on 10g/day. 5g will most likely make your body just stop producing what little it is.

5mg is the standard starting dose but definatly try to get your follow up blood works done sooner.
