Well gentlemen, I just got word 2 hours ago that I'll be leaving for Iraq on the first of the year. So, with such short notice, I imagine I'll be spending the next 10 days with the family instead of on here. I'll have access when I'm over there but I'll be much too busy with the roadside bombs (I'm on the bomb squad) to get on here much. So, until I'm back let me say so long and leave the light on for me!

ciobl, nope, I'm regular active duty bro! Short notice? Hell, I knew guys who had 9 HOURS notice before!!! Hernia is fine since the repair...still a little sore now and then but docs say it takes a full year for 100% return to normal.

cpeil2, yeah I was going to get out but the hernia kinda screwed things up. I was accepted to be an Air Marshal but I had to be able to pass their physical abilities test within two weeks....I had the hernia repair surgery a week and a half earlier so I could barely even sit up let alone pass a physical abilities test! So, I re-upped in the AF for another 6 years. Brings me to 18 after this hitch. So, 8 more years from now I'll be able to retire and get a real job! lol

Thanks for the well wishes guys. I may be able to get on here occasionally after all...wife said that when she's on her boards I can be on mine.

How old are you? I hope you stay safe out there.

I'm totally against this war and even more more against the president who started it. I think they should start bringing troops home rather than sending more out.
