Default LH levels for normal T levels NOT on TRT

Hi guys

Wondering what the LH values for the avg guy with healthy T levels NOT via TRT. The range is 2-9 where I get mine tested. Do they typically fall in that category? I know it varies, but overall is it in that range?

I have had T levels in low 400s (241-847 rr) and my LH is around 3....been around these numbers since Mar 05 I know my testicles function cuz I pregnated my wife last year Mar 07 and now again last month (i know crazy..but we are excited!)

However, my libido is still pretty damn low. I believe I found out reason of low T and low LH...due to Tea Tree oil shampoo I started using in Sept 04...a few months later my drive took a major dive and few months from there got my first T readings taken and were in low 300s.

Anyways, used TTO shampoo (found to be endrocine disruptor...mimics estrogen and antiandrogenic properties) for 3yrs and stopped a year ago when I found this out. I've since lost 20lbs and toned up much of my body (5'9" from 195lbs to 174lbs). My drive is still pretty low and erections suck. And I have gyne like tissue in my chest.

Plan is to get Tamoxifen to start up my HPTA which was never shut down but definately not utilized properly. Hoping Tamox will start increase my LH and thus get the 'ole testes working full capacity. 20mg a day (10 am 10 pm) for 3 months is my thinking..and taper off towards end.

Any insight? Plan to get the script this Thursday..hopefully won't be a problem with the Dr. as he believes my low T is reason for my issues and has offered TRT along with Adex and Nolva...only chose not to cuz wife and I wanted to conceive and I didn't want to complicate things.

Sorry for long post.

Thanks!

My latest tests, on just 10mg novla 2 times a week were;

FSH - 3.7 (1.9 - 13 IU/L)
LH - 6.3 (1.5 - 9.3 IU/L)
Estradiol - <37 (00 - 191 pmol/L) - <10 US range
Testosterone - 27.8 (8.4 - 28.7 nmol/L) - 800 US range

I've been running novla for a long time - starting at 20mg a day for months, then 10mg a day for months, then 10mg 3 times a week for months, and then 2mg twice a week for about the last 3mths. All up about 1.5 yrs. My LH has actually dropped slightly since I lowered my dose to 2 times a week, although my testosterone went up around 200 (US range). I've now dropped to 10mg once a week, and will retest in about 1-2mths

My thoughts with using Novla is not to rush the tapper, do it very slowly and gradually. You also need to esnure your thyroid and adrenals are in good order & treat them accordingly if they are not. I had changed my adrenal treatement at the same time I lowered the novla to 10mg twice a week, so I think it also had some effect in raising my levels another 200.

That's a good question. And one that has always aroused my curiosity. Don't see many posts concerning normal levels, which makes sense considering nature of forum. I've only done HCG for a month. And now Adex for about a month. Before I started any of this:

LH was 4.5.
FSH was 3.2.
Total T was in 360-370 range

After follow up work, it seems my dilemma is estrogen problem. Thus the reason for Adex protocol.

i agree. didn't know if study was done on known normal men or some here had friends w/labs???

anyways, why do u think estrogen problem? do u have E2 readings or other readings that suggest high estrogen? or did the hcg drive up ur estrogen? have u ever tried tamoxifen or clomid to increase ur LH via pit gland rather than use hcg to mimic LH?

Never had valid estrogen test prior to beginning HCG. My estimation is HCG drove it up even further. After only a month on it, I was tested. E1-E2-E3 were all high. And test was low. Seems to be negative feedback caused by high estrogens. These were results from urine test which really break things down.

Never tried tamoxifen or clomid. We'll see what the doc thinks in another week or so. My main problem is libido/erectile function. Don't really have any problems as far as fatigue/lethargy or muscle mass. Although I do have some stubborn fat..
