Default Ligaments & Tendons - What hormones?

Ever since the start of this whole hormone rollercoaster ride i've noticed a few things. First off my ligaments and tendons seem allot weaker or less elastic. I get joint clicking/popping and pain at times, my penis has came looser at the base and can move around allot more freely not allowing proper 'control' for intercourse (it does however still stand upwards at times). I have coupled the ligaments and tendon pain alongside the dry skin, both of which seem to go hand in hand. I believe both can be caused by either low thyroid hormones or low E2? Can anyone else confirm this?

What hormones effect and support both ligaments and tendons the most? What makes them strong and elastic and can damage be reversed when hormones are normalized?

What counter measures for the mean-time can be taken excercise, dietry alterations, etc?

Thanks in advance!

I did discover that Vit C is very healthy for both and i do drink allot of orange juice (maybe a litre or more a day). I also drink fruit smoothies daily and allot of other foods high in Vit C, maybe this is why i haven't had any actual problems/injurys.

I did notice Women get loose ligiments and tendons during pregnanacy to help deliver the baby, i wonder if the Estridol connection stands true then? Would be nice to have Dr M's input here.

Every post you do seems to strangely match my problems- joint pain, some clicking, loss of penis/scrotum sensation etc.

I remember when I used letro to get rid of some gyno (drove e2 way to low) My joints killed and my penis shriveled up to nothing.

I am wondering now if my e2 is fine (thought it was high)but my test isn't high enough. This is because after androgel application and hcg injections, all the symptoms go away and I get a good wood. A few hours later it is back to normal. My last test was 1202ng/dl, but it was done 3-4 hours post androgel and there was a possibilty of the androgel at injection site.

Have you tried fish oil for joints?

Found this link for Adrenal, thyroid or combination symptoms;
http://www.drrind.com/scorecardmatrix.asp

It would tend to indicate Adrenal, or Adrenal & thyroid

When i was on a restart protocol taking nolva and clomid, my joints/ligaments/tendants became absolutely stuffed. It was crippling. I couldn't do anything more than walk because my knees and shins hurt so bad. I had to take nurofen so i could play sport. I ended up snapping my ACL playing sport - it was an awkward tackle so i don't know if being on the meds contributed to it or not, but the pain from nolva/clomid was horrendous and i was getting pretty worried about what was going on. Had my second knee reconstruction 6 weeks ago!
