Can low estrogen cause Frequent urination? Swale maybe?
Just wondering if I can have low esetro levels from takeing alot of nolva. I was taking 60mg ed of nolva for about a month in the half to try and clean up some gyno I had. Since than Ive had frequent urination symptoms. Can this cause it?
im not sure if nolva even really lowers any estrogen, just makes them useless at the ER (Estrogen receptor), but if it does, then i say you are losing some of the water retention with it? im also on nolva and have frequent urination but its not like im pissing out all the water retention i have. i still have some in my face/neck.

A urinary tract infection will cause you to feel like you have to go all the time.
If anything, drugs of that class elevate estrogen levels.
I do not know of any association between estrogen levels and the ability to urinate.
This is a lot different from having a spazmatic bladder, but;
In Dr. Eugene Shippen's book "The Testosterone Syndrome" he outlines a problem that occurs in males with testosterone deficiencies. His argument is that the PC muscles (the ones you use to stop urination in mid-stream) have more testosterone receptors than anywhere else in the body, and having lack of testosterone cause those muscles to weaken, causing loss of control.

My experience has been that the prostate is very sensitive to swings in E2. When my E2 is high, I have to urinate more frequently. When my E2 goes from high to low or vice versa in a short period of time, I also have to urinate more frequently.
Thanks for the help. I definatly dont think thats what it is, but I just thought I'd ask in case. The reason I asked was I was diagnosed with prostatitis by one my doctor. Then I went to a uro, and he said my symptoms sounded similar. Than I switched uro's (becasue the first didn't evne really do any tests), and he said that he doubts I have prostatits, and doesn't want to make a diagnosis until he finishes with all the tests (which is a good thing). Its nuts because first I was diagnosed with a UTI, then prostaitis, now the new uro says he refuses to make a diagonosis, but did say that IC (interstital cystitis) could be a possibility, as well as prostaitis, or it could be kidney problems. I have no idea what the cause could be, but I dont htink it was the steroids. If I had one guess, I would say it was being on the accutane. Has anyone ever heard of anyone that was on tane having htese symptoms? I've been off it for a while, but when I was on it was when these symptoms first started!
