Default Low LH FSH - normal testosterone

Hey folks , i need a bit of advice cause i am having probs with ED , if i can get it up it doesnt last long at all *( , viagra doesnt help either. I have had to resort to using caveject which does the trick in maintaining an erection but then climaxing is a long drawn out process with very little sperm and fluid and when it does happen then the boys ache like mad afterwards.

Been to see the doc and then an endo, but despite the bloods they keep telling me that my testosterone is normal even thought it is right at the bottom of the range, this is getting bloody frustrating!. the boys are normal after having had an ultrasound on them , i have recently had a cat scan of the adrenals and should have the results tommorow, and also tommorow i have a MRI being done on the brainbox to see if there are any abnormalities.

Sorry for the non US units of measurement
Prolactin 11 ug/L (<15)
Leuteinizing Hormone 2 U/L (3-20)
FSH 2 U/L (3-20)
SHBG 31 nmol/L (13-71)
Testosterone 11 nmol/L (10 - 33)
Free Testosterone 9pmol/L (40 - 100)
Estradiol 83pmol/L (40-250)
PSA .50 (< 2.50)

IGF-1 (somatomedin C) 11 nmol/L (11-37)

Like i was saying despite my classic symptoms of low testosterone because it falls within the range of "normal" they are not taking me seriously , the only reason i am getting any further investigation is that they are trying to get to the bottom of the low FSH and LH results.

Any advice or info or similar stories would help heaps cause i am really struggling with this.

thanks in advance.

You should try getting a sensitive estradiol test to see if thats whats supressing your LH/FSH

Was reading your reply barcafan, and reread my initial post, i guess my frustration shines through a bit doesn't it. I am finding it hard to cope with the ed and lack of libido, imagine what its like to have the erection vanish in a few heartbeats /sigh.

Is sensitive estradiol different to estradiol and if so how does that work ? is it possible for the adrenal glands to produce/suppliment enough testosterone to get it to my current levels? sorry for the newb questions

I think i should add i am 48 yrs old and have never used AAS , i am in good health apart from this.

I am really thankfull that i found this forum or i would still be suffering in silence.

Your Estradiol levels are fine what is wrong is your Total T at 11 and your LH nd FSH being this low tells me you need to get an MRI done on your Pituitary to rule out a tumor. It's rare to be cancer. Here is what is going on here your TT is dam low and your Pituitary tells your Testis to make more by sending LH and FSH to your testis to make more Testosterone if your Testis did not work your LH and FSH levels would be at the top of the range for your TT levels at 11.

I you have had a head injury this can mess up your pituitay gland this is my problem. Also check your Cortisol and Thyroid people with a pituitary problem also can have them problems. Then Pituitary tells your Adrenals to make Cortisol by sending ACTH and it tells your Thyroid to work by sending TSH do get a full Thyroid set of blood labs done.

Your ED problems are do to your low testosterone levels you levels in my USA units is 317 this is in the range of normal but for a man 100 yrs old tell your Dr. this.

I still say he needs to get his estradiol tested (sensitive test). My 'regular' estradiol came back mid range from my GP ordered test. Got another (correct) test done, whatta you know, 58 pg/ml. Lowend LH/FSH as well.

I think what confuses me as well as the endo is how my test results can still be in the normal range (albeit low end) and the fsh and lh underpar. The endo keeps referring to the testosterone level as a reason for non treatment.

Can test levels be hightened through diet? i eat tons of protien as i am on the keto diet and i do use suppliments - max's hydrocut wpi and a thermogenic capsule to help in cutting the bodyfat %.

I have managed to find a anti aging clinic here in brisbane with a urologist who specialises in ED so i am going to ditch the endo and see him on the 5th of next month. So if my diet is contributing to the levels of testosterone i would like to eliminate those factors in the hope i can qualify for treatment.

Is there anything i can do to lower the test levels just a little bit ? i am right on the bottom number , just need to dip by 1 and i qualify.

Thanks in advance.
