Default Low T - Doctor and Lab tests

Hello everyone

Feeling tired, I did blood work online (without visiting a doctor) and found my T is 229 NG/DL. Here are results:

T 229
TSH 4.5
T3 35%
T4 is 2.9
Estradiol 21
PSA .8
IGF1 182

After reading the posts, I guess need to test Iron, Vitamin D, LH, FSH, DHT, Free Testosterone, Prolactin, SHBG, DHT, DHEA-S. These tests will costs 500$. My question is

1) Is the Life extension the best place to do these tests on my own cost?
2) Will the doctors accept the blood work done by me personally?

Also any GOOD doctor recommendation? (I live in Greater Atlanta area)

Thanks for your help

If you can stand a couple hour drive, try Dr. Clif Caldwell at Livingwell Integrative Healthcare in Easley, SC. It's not far off I-85. The number is 864-850-9988. He actually listens to you, and he's willing to try anything. He's taken several suggestions I brought him from this Board (thanks, guys!) after following up with his own research. He doesn't have me "fixed" yet, but he's not giving up either.

Is he trying to fix your HPTA or is he putting you on TRT?

How do you know if your HPTA is "fixable" or not?

If your HPTA is 'fixed', your blood result should reflect normal values of T, TSH, T3, T4, E2 etc. Right?

I don't put a whole lot of stock in LH numbers. They vary by the hour. You could have 10 guys with an LH of 3 and T levels can vary from 300 - 1200

The only way to truly get an accurate LH test would be to do a blood draw every hour for 18 hours and average numbers out.

Obviously that isn't practical.

I think BioT levels after restart program is initiated would be the obvious choice

Well sure eveyone knows LH fires on and off with changes still you need it with FSH to see if there is a need to test more.
