Default low temps

I know adrenal fatigue is typical with fluctuating daily temps,,whereas low temps are associated with low thyroid. can temps be low and fluctuating with a healthy thyroid?? my temps are both low and fluctuating but my symptoms resemble adrenal fatigue. I got blood work done for the thyroid but wont get the results for another week. Im just curious if anyone can have low temps without a thyroid problem. would appreciate any responses. thanks

If you do your temp this way and check it 3 days in a row add them up and div. by 3 if your avg. is less then 97.8 you can bet your thyroid is low. The taking your temps need to be done right or your just wasting time.
You do this test to find out if you have a problem.
Thyroid Self-Testing by Basal Temperature (originated by Dr. Broda Barnes)
Then you do this to tell how good your adrenals are doing and how well your thyroid treat is going.
Temperature Patterns of low adrenal and thyroid function
I don't use a digital thermometer I use this.
Thermometer
You start after your up 3hrs. then site for 15 min.'s and then take your temp for 5 min's. do this every 3 hrs 3x's in a day. Print out the chart and keep track of them.
If your temp is going up or down more then 2ths from day to day your adrenals are stressed out and you should not do thyroid meds until you get this leveled. You can take Isocort or Cortif.
Then as you start on Armour your temp will go up after about 2 weeks your temps will start to come back down this means your hypo again and it's time to up the dose 15mgs. I came up form 96.7 to 98.6 after you get up to 2.5 grains of Armour with each raise of 15mgs you will need to hold this for 6 weeks before going up again.
Do your self a favor and read this site.
It's better then any Dr. anyone could see.

great post gamer. I guess Im both hypo and have adrenal fatigue. Ive taken my temps at those 3 hour intervals for the last week after being awake for 3 hours and they've averaged between 96.8 and 97.8 and have always varied by more than 2 tenths of a degree per day. only thing is Ive been using a digital. I'll have to get a better thermometer. my thyroid tests should be back within a week. I asked for tsh and free t3 and free t4. hopefully my doc wont tell me the results are fine if theyre not. thats my worst fear. I dont wanna have to self treat and rely on an online source to get my armour. I'll post my results when I get them. thanks for the feedback

Now let me tell you it's normal to have a lower temp starting out after 3 hrs. being up then the next to go higher. This is way we add them up and div. by 3 then compare the result or avg. I had to start on my own my wife had some armour so I started at 45mgs I felt so much better I told my Dr. when I seen him next I see him every 8 weeks. He then put me on it and only would give me 2 grains now I am up to 4 and I just tell him and he says you will see I am still waiting to see not going hyper now he dose not test TSH anymore.

yea,,,I realize temps will vary throught a day. my avg daily temps happen to vary from day to day,,which I know is typical with adrenal fatigue. yea,,,sometimes you just have to self treat. its sad how many people with low thyroid go under diagnosed. I have a feeling my doc will just look at the lab ranges instead of treating the symptoms. in that case Im just going to order armour and self dose. I already have my isocort,,,but am waiting for work to settle down a bit. Im working rotating shifts this week which will mess up my dosing. when work hours become more normal next week I'll begin the isocort. I'll be so thrilled if these meds get me out of my fatigue..sluggishness and brain fog. its been going on too long and its really taking a toll on my physical and social life
