May have injected TEST Cyp wrong

I'm a little worried because I think that I IM injected my Test Cyp not far enough into the muscle. I did 100 mg yesterday into my delt and the needle is a long (30 gauge). I aspirated but when I injected and pulled out more than a little was running down my arm. Not sure whats up. The needle was halfway in. did it get into the muscle. What happened if it didn't? What should I do?

30 gauge is the thickness of the needle, not the length.
30 gauge is a thin needle that people do subcutaneously shots with. Were you tryin to do an IM shot or sub-q?

if it was a 1 inch needle and you went half way in your delt,thats was probably deep enough. its easy to second guess yourself and question the effectiveness of your injection. i do it all the time.

You'll be fine , don't worry about it. If it really was a 30ga. pin , it was probably only 1/2" or 5/8" in length. If it was only that long and only 1/2 way into the skin/muscle, then yes, it was a little too shallow. I want to know how you got cypionate pushed through a 30 ga needle!

If possibly the test was not injected into the muscle of my delt, then does this mean that it was subqutaneous? Should I just wait a week to inject again? What is the proper size needle for an IM injection? Mine was not 30 gauge. I was mistaken. It was actually 3 CC 20 gauge 1.5 inches. Thanks guys.

20 ga.....why not just use an oil pipe! Seriously, if it was a 1 1/2" needle and you injected with it halfway in, it was fine. I'm sure it was not sub-Q at 3/4" depth in the delt. A 20 ga. needle is BIG...no wonder it ran out a little after you injected! Use a smaller gauge pin next time if you can. Just wait a week and inject again....s-l-o-w-l-y, with a smaller pin. A 22 ga pin is about right for oils. Anything larger and you may as well use a shovel!

Thanks for the advice, I'll try the 22 gauge and inject more slowly.

I use 23 guage which is fine. Some Guys use 25 guage, although it will take longer to draw oil.

25g needles are fine for injecting T cyp. I use them, and 22g needles to draw. Use the Z track method of injection to prevent leakage: http://www.findarticles.com/p/articl...09/ai_n9145650. Finally, delt shots are not recommended for TRT; less of the T gets absorbed as compared with glute or quad shots. Someone posted a study a while back that proves this; you'll have to search if you want to read it.

i shoot with a 5/8 inch needle in the delt and i never had a problem with it.... as long as you shoot into the muscle i don't think u have a problem.... once the needle goes it it's all injected into the muscle........ so there is no need to shoot with a crazy long needle

So why do we need to do shots of T IM. I have done them both ways and can't tell the difference. So starting tomorrow I am doing my shots .35mls subQ every 3 days to see if it helps with my E2.

Phil, I thought your E2 was currently in good standing and you were feeling great? Are you just experimenting to get that little extra if possible?

Doing the T shots every 3 days will lead to more stable T levels and also work better with the daily HCG you are already doing.

Is this the protocol you are currently using 1cc? If so, what differences have you noted vs. weekly injections?
