Well, that didn't work as planned. I just gave myself another Cypionate injection in my quad. This was my 3rd or 4th. I wanted to give my glutes a rest. When I pulled the needle out, the blood started flowing freely down my leg. I put some pressure on it and it stopped, but dang. That was not what I wanted to happen. I was almost as worried that my Cypionate was leaking out of my leg as I was about the blood. I aspirated so I wasn't in a vein. Do you think I may have passed through one along the way or something? Now I am left with a small lump that looks like a bee sting, but I imagine it will go away pretty quickly. Just curious...this ever happen to anyone else?

His guy has been doing shots for over 20 yrs. Phil I have always alternated legs and location of injections. You can stick the needle anywhere, and although it is intramuscle, I have found it does not matter at all as long as it gets into your body, so I stick the needle in about 3/4 of an inch and as I push the juice in I slowly raise the needle so by the time the juice is it the needle is maybe 1/2 inch stuck in there. This allows the juice to be driven into a larger area resulting in less localized pain. Also, vary by a couple inches where in upper thigh you stick the needle, and vary which leg to use. You could stick it in your own bun/hip area but I never tried this because I like to see exactly what I am doing. Also, you really should not have any pain afterwards if you take the time to gently stretch and warm the injection site so the needle goes into warm relaxed skin, and face the beveled edge of needle away from you so as the arm come straight down it will easily pierce the flesh, push the juice in dead slow raising the needle slowly, and don't drive it in way deep, it is not necessary, only need to get in the flesh a little more than 1/2 inch or so I figure. Some people draw the juice from the bottle with a larger needle and then switch to a smaller needle for injection, I don't bother I use the same for both and I use the same needle twice. And do take a DIM or two a day, maybe a copper with zinc pill every other day or so, really knock off sugar and bread as they promote fat and allow more estrogen excess to put fat in your breasts as your body says hey this is a LOT of testosterone all at once and I'll just dump some of this into estrogen because I don't need it all right now. I shoot 100mg about once every 9 days or so. I find any more often the steroid effect causes too much water retention and weight gain, which I hate more than not having enough T. I have tried Androgel, Androgerm, compounded gels, etc, etc. They all work pretty good but have to applied daily and not everyone's skin absorbs the same. Everyone responds to shots and you only need to think about it every week or so. I like that. let me know if all this rambling helps at all Norton |

Smitty, I had the exact same thing happen to me a couple of months back. Yes, you probably passed through a blood vessel on the way in, and the blood came up and out, and made a little bump under the skin. Probably nothing to worry about, and you probably didn't lose any cyp either.

Ahhhhhh greatgro, I bet your blood makes a tasty salad dressing! smitty---I've had a bleeder on rare occasions too. Not to worry. I take plenty of omega 3's as well but, no garlic. Not so good salad dressing. |

im sure you just passed through a vein, try spreading your skin between the injection spot with your fingers. when you pull the needle out release the skin you have seperated and this will minimize any hole for bleeding by pushing the skin together

Ya, Krom, THAT part was not good advice. I would suggest one not move the needle while injecting. You actually increase trauma to the flesh when you do it the way Norton is suggesting. Smitty--You are using a needle that is too long. 1", or even 3/4", should be plenty (depending upon how much adipose tissue one has). |

I penetrated the skin and felt some pain and decided to inject in a different site. When I pulled the needle out, it spurted quite a bit of blood (not the regular drop or two). 1cc Last edited by 1cc; 11-14-2005 at 01:22 PM. |
