No it will not. I can also say that unless there are signs of a pituitary problem such as high prolactin, this is a total waste of time. If you read the sticky, Dr Crisler does not send every hypogonadal patient for an MRI unless basic lab work gives him reason to do so. Even if your pituitary has been damaged by trauma, it does not alter your treatment. Don't know of any medical procedures that can fix that. The correct thing to do in that case is to replace whatever the pituitary is causing a deficiency of. There are times when I am not interested in why or how, because it is a game of foot dragging and stalling. I am more interested in what needs to be done to manage the problem expediently and efficiently

love_en your right unless one has low T and very low LH nad FSH and there E2 is good an MRI is a waste of money unless you have BCBS that pays for it. I am on HC now and still my moring cortisol levels are on the low side. I am doing 5mgs. 4 times a day all you can do is test to see what is off and treat and keep testing it.

Thanks, I also remember Dr. John stating that a high prolactin with low LH/FSH will cause him to refer to an endo to look for a pituitary tumor. I know my last endo wasted a lot of money on an MRI, considering that with a clear MRI there was no reason to withhold TRT from me. Phil, glad to see the HC is working for you. In men, especially if they are of a larger build, 30-40 mg HC is considered a replacement dose. With a damaged pituitary, I believe adrenal suppression is a non-issue.

I may try it at 30mgs just to see how I feel if no change I will drop back to 20.
