My first IM hCG shot!

I did my first IM hCG shot. I decided to do it IM for a variety of reasons, but regardless I wanted to make sure I did it right..

I did it in my upper thigh.. pushed it in without any pain, pulled back the plunger a little bit and didn't see any blood at all (but did see a small airbubble pop up after I pulled back), then injected ~250 IU.

Does it sound like I did it right? Is the airbubble from asperating normal?

Thanks, I was a little shaky doing it so it would be nice to be confirmed

Note that you will always see airbubbles on aspiration as this is the vacuum you are pulling causing the air to come out of solution, or even the tiniest amount of air in the syringe expanding. It is fine. Sickly enough, I usually allow about a half a millimeter of air to remain so that I can be sure and get every last drop... Its not a good idea to go injecting any notable quantities of air into your body, but you would be supprised to find out how much it takes to cause a problem. Also I am not stating that I inject air into myself. Just that I have learned exactly how much I can leave in a 3cc syringe to just barely push all the juice out of the tip of the syringe and needle....

Happens alot. Probably from the air in the needle itself, Not to worry.
