Default My plan for tomorrow's endo visit..

ok, as you all know, I have been on HCG and clomid to try and bring my body back into sync. Well, it's been 5 days since my last HCG shot and I feel insanely lethargic. I plan on asking my doctor about TRT w/cypionate along with HCG to keep fertility. I have thought about this and really think its best. I plan on approaching him by stating my thoughts and feelings on the subject first, and then introducing the protocol of usage. The protocol I was thinking is basically off of "TRT: A recipe for success" in which I will recieve 100mg cyp. per week, and on the 5th and 6th days receive HCG. Please let me know your opinions on my decision..

First, let me ask you whether you properly weaned yourself down from both the HCG and the Clomid. I not, then you still just went "cold turkey".

We all already appreiate here that HCG is a much more powerful hormone than previously thought. But Clomid is, too. I have my guys use 50mg per day only briefly, then cut it to 25mg per day, then 12.5 mg per day, in 5 day (minimal) increments.

I disussed this very topic with Dr. Shippen a year and a half ago, and he has also found it to be true that even 25mg of Clomid is a powerful dose.

Nothing but respect for Dr. Shippen here, I just finished his book "The Testosterone Syndrome". I concur that Clomid is powerful at those dosages. I was on 50mg daily, and my first test panel (while on Clomid) came back 1107ng/dl out of a normal range of 270-850ng/dl. Obviously I was responsive. Either it was hypersensitivity to the drug or Clomid works that well. I'd put my money on the latter.

My doctor just told me to stop everthing cold turkey.. I feel like shit to tell you the truth... he had me on 2000i/u of HCG 3x week with 100mg/day of clomid.. I tried to tell him he was wrong in giving me such a high dosage, based on the information on this site, but he said this site was a hock of BS and he knew what he was doing was 100% correct... BTW, I had been on clomid for about 5 days before getting my last set of blood work done, and my LH still read <.03. If clomid was going to work, wouldn't it have already shown an increase in LH at this point?

What is it with these Endo's? A physician with a superiority complex is a very bad thing when the physician is also WRONG.

I am not an expert, but I would suspect that the HCG is causing a surge in Test, that the Clomid can't compensate for.

You do need to find a new Dr. this guy is way out in left field a legion in his own mind. Can't you go to your Family Dr. and use SWALE as a consult he will work with your Dr.

MY site is "a hock of BS"? I sure would like to have a little talk with this guy. LOL.

It is a common problem with Endo's: (1) they know almost nothing about this (2) what they THINK they know is almost completley wrong and (3) they are virtually untrainable.

If you happen to see him again, invite to come on over to this site. There are only about 50 guys here who know more about this than he does.

Five days is only one half-life for Clomid. It does take longer than that. Frontloading a double dose the first couple of days helps.
