Yes and no. Low T will make your penis shriveled and shrunken in its flacid state. But if you happen to get an erection, your penis will most likely be in its normal erection size, so it doesn't actually cause you to lose inches of the actual penis.

Penile atrophy is somewhat of a myth unless you live with low levels for year's (i.e. below 10bmol). Either high E2 or low t will cause shrinkage problems. I get the shrinkage pretty bad but thing's usually normalize by night time for some reason.

I don't like the shrunk up state though, it just dosen't look healthy.

I have been on Testim (10g's daily) and not getting the shrinkage anywhere near as bad as i did before.

Marianco has written here before that one of DHT's funtions is to increase blood flow through the penis.

But could the penis not shrink if you never get an erection? After all the tissue also needs nutrients and erections are necessary to ensure the blood flow and the nutrients for the tissue. What happens if you lose your libido and hardly ever get an erection?

In the very, very long term (i.e. years) it could shrink but nothing radical. You would need to have really low t for this to happen (i think Marianco said below 200). There is always "some" (if a little weak?). I have noticed some flaccid shrinkage but this is most likely due to the ratio of T/DHT/E. I can still get and maintain an erection but it's hard work at times. In the shower (with the heat) i find it allot easier as it provokes and helps blood flow in the area. As long as you are getting even mild erections now and again thing's should be fine. Even a morning erection once a week/month is usually enough to keep thing's ticking over. On a side note it might be an idea to use Cialis (which Phil does) to keep blood flow good in the whole area if T is really low.
