Default pituitary tumours

hypothetically, if one had a pituitary tumour, would it still produce excess lh and fsh whilst one was on trt, or does the hpta shut that down to....

also, although i had a head xray a year or two ago, when the endo was trying to find out whats wrong with me, and they saw nothing, is it possible that my pituitary is the problem.
these are my results from sus 125 a week and hcg 200 twice a week
Testosterone = 43.1 nmol/l
Oestrodial = 125
DHEAS = 4.3
SHBG = 31.1
Cortisol = 685
Prolactin = 239

the cortisol seems high doesn't it. however, i should add, that on trt my lh and fsh goes to zero, if that makes a difference.

why is it 3 or 4 people on this forum including me all have estradiol at the EXACT same level!!!

I think your labs look good!
You said you could lose abit of weight didnt you? I am sure if you did your E2 would drop to an acceptable level.

I dont think TRT would shut it down, unless it was to shrink it.

All I know is, a prolactin blocker can shrink a prolactin secreting brain tumour.

And some Testicular cancers secrete super high amounts of bHCG(the LH analogue) testosterone does not shut this down

thats what i though (about trt not shutting it down)- indeed when im on trt initially, the lh and fsh go to a normal level for a while, before turning off.

Indeed i had a head xray, and the endo and specialist said it was clear, but im just having one of my panicky sessions anyway. you know i even remember when i first went to my gp complaining of pain in my nuts, which as it turned out was a varicocele i left unchecked for 5 years and really messed me up.

i dont know why all of a sudden im concered about my pituitary- i get like this sometimes.

Just wondering if the HCG also blocks the conversion of t to e2. When my t levels were the same on the same dose of sus at the same interval of 7 days, my E2 was 247.?????

One would think this stands to reason with HCG preventing testicular atrophy through high E2..Any comment ?

Join the club man, I am like that too, I will not see a doctor until something is at its worst and then I will asume the worst, like right now I get chest pains cause of chronic heart burn, instead of using a PPI(strong antacid) I just put up with it or swigged mylanta from the bottle, now I dont know if its my heart or if the Osophegus lining is damaged.

If anything HCG would increase E2, and higher E2 would cause testicular shrinkage. I dont quite understand where your coming from? did hcg lower your E2?

Ok an Xray will not show you if you have a pituitary problem you need an MRI. HCG if your doing to much will drive up E2 but E2 will not make your nuts get smaller. HCG and TRT will shut down the messages of LH and FSH so your test will be dam near zero. I do know a guy that has a pituitary problem and makes to much LH and FSH. Anyone that feels they have a pituitary problem needs to have there Cortisol, DHEA, IGF-1, Thyroid and Testosterone tests and all tests related to each one.
