Indeed dr Hertoghe lists high estradiol level as result of low progesterone (see attachment),
but I would not think of progesterone as an Aromatase inhibitor,
I would just try to keep my progesterone in right place.
So you have to be defficient in progesterone to justify supplementation.
Do no use progesterone only because your E2 is high.
Dr John does not uses progesterone in men.
I suggest that at first you get your DHEAs in correct level, DHEAs(500-640)mcg/dL
and after your DHEAs is ok, check pregnenolone and progesterone.
Next supplement pregnenolone (pills or creams).
Then if you still need, use progesterone (pills or creams).
If all that is not helping your high e2, use liquid Arimidex (LiquiDex).
Liquid is much easier to measure accurately and in very small doses.
I use 3/10cc insuline syringe w totally cut out needle to dispense Liquidex in any fractional dose I need.
