Default Progesterone to reduce estrogen with TRT

I am currently taking testosterone replacement therapy. I'm 48 year old male. My Doctor perscribed testosterone injections twice a week .25ML each injection of bioidentical testosterone from a compounding pharmacy. My doctor also perscribed a pill of oral progesterone 100mg at bedtime to reduce estrogen levels. The oral progesterone makes me feel strange such as dizzy and tired and gives me very stiff muscles. Do you think the progesterone is necessary? I have had no negative side effects with the tostosterone injections.

No and if anything it will make E's worse when Estradiol gets to high you can feel your nipples getting sore and hard this happens to most of us then the ED starts if you don't have morning wood and suffer from ED get your estradiol tested and if high get on some arimidex .25mgs every 3 days.

progesterone opposed DHT in men and it opposes estrogen in women.

You can always count on Nails.....

Pregnenolone cream is a much safer route that straight progesterone.....It causes a mild rise in progesterone, enough to counterattack the rise in DHT from T.

Plus, it boosts neural steroid production

So you're saying preg cream could be an alternative to something like Arimidex?

I have top of the charts free T (154 on scale of 35-155 Quest), middle of the road total T (494 on scale of 250-1100), increasing DHT (96 scale of 25-75) and increasing E2 (41 scale of 13-54). Progesterone is .6 on scale of .1 - 1.2.

My treatment is 100mg of compounded T cream with 25mg preg and 5mg DHEA compounded in as well. If I INCREASE my preg to 50mg, you think I could lower my DHT and my E2?

arimidex is much more efficient at lowering estrogen. The testosterone topicals are more liable to aromitization--especially in older men due to the presence of the aromatace enzyme in fat cells.

Saw my doc yesterday. We're keeping the T cream at 100mg but we're separating it out from the rest of the cocktail due to some anecdotal evidence of T being hampered by the other ingredients. We're also cutting out the HCG completely in part due to skyrocketing DHT and E2.

New regimen is:
100mg of compounded T cream
25mg of progesterone and 10mg of DHEA compounded cream. Thinking is progesterone can inhibit DHT and some E2 formation.
50mcg (micrograms) of Arimidex daily for high E2. There are some reports of daily small amounts being very effective and my new pharm can compound the Arimidex.

We're also changing compounding pharms from one here in Spokane to a Calif outfit. My doc has had some patients that have had less than predicted results w/some of the elixirs coming from there. Full retest in 3 weeks.

phil is this armidex over the counter or do you need a script? I wonder if there's any natural ways of reducing estrogen?

I can get Arimidex prescription but I use Liquidex.
I use insuline syringe with cut out needle to measure the dose exactly.
I use it E2D, every other day.

Sponsor of this site is selling it.
Get LiqidCia while you there.

I use this Quest Diagnostic test to adjust my Estrodial:

Estradiol, Free, LC/MS/MS (36169X)

I look at and adjust

FreeE2 (0.45 -0.6)

Clinical Significance:
Much of Estradiol is bound to proteins. The unbound
portion and Estradiol bound to proteins with low affinity
reflect the Free concentration. The Free Estradiol may
better correlate with medical conditions than the Total
Estradiol concentrations.
