Here is what happens when one starts on a low dose of gel 5 grams you start to feel better because on top of what your testosterone levels were when you started the gel brings your levels up higher then your brain sees this and slows down the LH and FSH messages sent to your testis to make more testosterone. So you can be left with a low level then you started with some men will start with a level of 350 the gel adds 200 so they feel good because there level is 550 the brain sees this and stops the LH and FSH and you can be left with just what the level the gel is doing 200 so your left with a lower level.
So I tell men to retest in 2 weeks and it use to say to do this in the insert that comes with the gel. If your levels fell then go up to 10 grams and retest in 8 weeks. Don't let your Dr. hold you down by making you wait 2 months this is a crime I have seen men start on gels and there Dr. told them to come back in 6 months this is done by a Dr. that is not up on
TRT.
now if after you go up to 10 grams and your levels are still low and you don't feel good then your skin is not letting the gel into your blood so you need to switch to shots.
Don't add HCG until you get your Total and Free T levels up into the upper 1/3 of your labs rang and you can keep your Estradiol down to about 20 pg/ml and your getting some good night time and morning wood. After you get leveled this way it will take some time for your body to undo the damage done by low T and everyday you will feel a little better. It's after you get leveled and are feeling dam good that you would add in 250 IU's of HCG every 3 days on gels.
