Default scar tissue feels like?

So I was doing my HCG injection the other day and when I poked, it felt as though it was going through paper towels or weak cardboard. Is this what scar tissue feels like? Also I have been doing HCG only for about 2-3 months. Is it normal to develop scar tissue that fast?

You are using the hCG sub-q, right? If so, then you aren't having a problem with scar tissue. But regardless, you shouldn't inject in the same exact spot every time.

I have been doing HCG for quite well over a year and I have noticed that some days the needle slides in easier than others. Over time, I have noticed that there are certain locations on my abdomin that just seem harder to get the needle the pierce the skin.

Given the size of the insuline needles I use, I don't know if it's even possible to get scar tissue from subQ injections.

Its scary how easily a 29 gauge needle goes in my skin. Its completely painless and I apply almost no pressure to puncture.

That happens to me a lot of times. It's funny to me, because family members who have seen me do my injections act all impressed that I am "macho" enough that I don't at least flinch. They don't seem to believe me when I tell them that it really doesn't hurt.

Yes that is what scar tissue feels like. Not sure how you're getting scar tissue from 29 gauge insulin needles if you're doing Sub-Q injections in the abdomen; however you didn't specify, and I think it is possible to inject HCG intramuscular. Yeah, you'll notice you have to push harder to get it to "squeek" through the scar tissue.

I do do them sub q near the belly button area and alternate sides. Also, I use 25 gauge under doctor's orders (although I have used a few insulin ones in the last couple of weeks).

25!!!!????!?!!! OMG that's like using a harpoon by comparison to the 31G I use! Screw the doc (not literally) and use something smaller. You'll be glad you did. Also, I know exactly what you mean. I think that the skin responds to the repeated pokes by thickening up a bit. Don't worry either way, it's not scar tissue.

I still wonder if it's not the TRT itself that is thickening the skin. I think you may have asked that question in the past, WL. I notice it even in areas that I've never injected hCG in before.

I've also noticed that TRT has made me more "thick skinned" emotionally, also, which is a good thing in my case.

The 25G syringes are specifically for IM use.

Does your doctor know that you are injecting sub-q?

Obvously, this is not a logical decision on the part of your doctor.

And the syringe is 3mL, probably, making accurate measurement more difficult?
