Re: So my adrenals are revamped now..but cortisol is to high
Recommend you do your best to minimize stressors; get adequate sleep, eat healthy with frequent and smaller meals starting with a good breakfast to blunt ACTH & cortisol; consider theanine if necessary and; consider using phosphatidylserine after working out along with post workout meal. Also consider scaling back on volume of workouts if currently too long.

What exactly is phosphatidylserine for? Would it work for people with low adrenal output
Re: So my adrenals are revamped now..but cortisol is to high
Did you actually get your cortisol tested or are you just guessing? doctors usually prescribe gluccorticoids for high cortisol which are technically worse for bodybuilding.
Re: So my adrenals are revamped now..but cortisol is to high
One should not use Phosphatidylserine if adrenal output is low – whether primary or secondary in nature…this will only make things worse (too little cortisol is just as bad as too much, and some would argue, even worse and more difficult to treat)
If, however, cortisol is too high (as is often the case in the earlier stages of adrenal fatigue) and when adrenal reserve is still adequate or; even after adrenals have had time to heal, phopsphatidylserine can help blunt the ACTH from the pituitary to the adrenals helping the adrenals to rest while also lowering endogenous cortisol production.
If cortisol is high, very few will actually prescribe more glucorticosteroids – some might, however, reasoning that through the various feedback signals between adrenals, hypothalamus, and pituitary, the adrenals would be required to produce less given the reduced ACTH signal from the pituitary. Again, the better way, as stated above, is to mitigate stressors through various means while considering something along the lines of phosphatidylserine.
Re: cortisol and bodybuilding, well – you certainly don’t want too much, but you don’t want too little either.
