Cool TRT advice...

I'm considering TRT for a period of 6 months and looking for advice from people who have experience of doing this...

1) If going on TRT for 6 months my main concern would be getting back to endogeneous levels if I wanted to - if these were 350 ng/dl for example and LH & FSH normal (4.5 U/l) would I realisticly be able to return exactly to these levels after a period of time?
(from your own experience of course)

2) Is 6 months enough time to see if TRT is beneficial over low T (but with endogeneous production) in terms of potency, muslce mass (although I think this is one of the first noticeble improvements) & facial hair growth (some don't report any difference here maybe too short a time??), and some reporting increased girth of penis (I very much doubt this myself though)?

3) Would any brief time on TRT jeopardise fertility?

Cheers

TRT is a commitment for life !! considered it like marriage for some people ( it feels really good in the beginning , but loses its spark over time.

yeah but if borderline and wanting to maintain fertility there surely is value in trying it first before commiting for life to at least see what its like - granted this will need to be done at some point in future but not necessarily lifetime commitment right now

Britman,

It depends on what type (if any) of hypogonadism you are suffering from. If you are secondary, then it is possible that the introduction of exogenous testosterone will shut off your production of endogenous testosterone. If this causes testicular atrophy, you will have great difficulty returning to your "natural levels." This is part of the reason why some say "TRT is for life."

So, if you are secondary, it isn't wise to play fool around with testosteroene. An LH analog like hCG is safer, although you will still need to be careful because you could end up desensitizing your testicles.

Although I do not have any clear cut answers to my questions from anyone based on their own experiences its fair to say the general opinion based on a few posts is that it would be difficult to get back to normal levels and from this fertility would be impaired but could still be achievable if enough time given

I understand the points about the commitment - what about some of the effects of TRT I mentioned though??

for instance it can be assumed that increased muscle mass is a given and bone mass to less extent providing regular weight training/exercise - but what about guys that have been low in T all their life to begin with and will therefore have little facial hair - does TRT result in ability to grow 'normal' beard (some report no change hear although maybe not enough time is given or levels high enough) and is extra girth in penis just bullshit talk

what I was looking for is people to confirm (or otherwise) from their own experiences
