Default Use of IGF-1 instead of HGH

I'm doing my research on HGH, and am pretty impressed with what it can do for men and women for anti-aging purposes. It wasn't long until I realized how expensive it is.

After looking further, I've read that IGF-1 may be used instead of HGH, since HGH triggers the release of IGF-1 in the liver, and is believed to be responsible for many of the positive anti-aging effects.

I've also read that 4-6 mcg of IGF-1 is about equal to 1 IU of HGH. If this is true, IGF-1 is extremely inexpensive compared to the HGH. Have any of you used the IGF-1 for anti-aging purposes (to bring levels up to the top of the normal range as opposed to supraphysiological levels), and if so, have you been pleased with the results?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

HGH gives you more benefits than just IGF1. HGH affects other parts of the body independent if IGF1. It also produces some peptide that balances the IGF1 that is created.

I like them both.

I like IGF-1 better for gains and veins.

But I like HGH for awesome sleep, fat loss.

I can get both pretty damn cheap.

When taking the IGF-1, many of the doses I see are in the 20-100 mcg range, which if the ratio of 4-6 mcg IGF-1 = 1 IU GH is accurate, is a huge dose.

Have you taken the IGF-1 in low doses, such as the 4-6 mcg range? and if so, does it provide some of the anti-aging benefits of HGH such as loss of bodyfat, and increased skin thickness?

Lastly, it appears that IGF-1 is typically cycled on the 5 weeks on/5 weeks off type protocol. Would it need to be cycled on the low dosing of 4-6 mcg that I'm talking about?

For anti-aging, I would use HGH over IGF
You dont have to cycle HGH.
Some do like EOD, 5 on 2 off but at 1 to 2 iu's a day 6 months or even a year are just fine.
I like the lower, longer cycles of HGH myself.

After all nice skin and fat loss does not happen overnight like most people want.

When you run HGH for a year and stop do you loose all the results ? If you loose them is a gradually or rapidly.

Thanks for the helpful feedback. I read Klatz's book "Grow Young with HGH", and he advocated HGH in 0.5-2 IU doses on a 6 days on/1 day off cycle in perpetuity.

He also had a few pages on the IGF-1 and he sounded enthused about its prospects in providing the same benefits as HGH, but at the time of the book (1997, I think), not too much research had been done of the hormone. I would be interested in knowing what clinical trial research has been done with this over the past decade.

Yah you do lose it to a degree.

I do think it can help heal injuries but those wont come back after you stop.
I did lose 4" on my waist but kept eating the same after I came off after 6 months.
I could eat more and stay leaner for some reason.
After I came off I ate the same and packed it all back on and then maybe then some

I think that HGH for anti-aging purposes is intended to be used continuously, so you never come off. Obviously, 1-2 IU's in perpetuity is quite expensive, that's why I'm interested in whether IGF-1 can do a similar job. Since the price point is so much lower, you could reasonably stay on it all the time.

That is also why I'm interested in whether it must still be cycled at low doses. If the receptors downgrade at the low doses, then it would make sense that you'd have to cycle in the same 5 week on/off fashion as in dosing for growth purposes.

Anyone have experience with low doses for long durations?

well 50mcg on the slin needle is just 2 and a half lines. Hell, at the amount you are thinking there would be as much IGF-1 left in the head of the syrenge than what you are shooting.
4-5mcg would be drops at the most.

HGH is not all as expensive as what you think.
There are many places overseas that sell for less than half what you see as a good price around.
Now, the bad thing is there are fakes, there is also the 192 amino acid stuff floating around, but some legit 191 AA stuff too.

I think for long term I would rather have HGH over IGF as something scares me about IGF and cancer, but that is just me.

I've seen the Jintropin (sp?) listed for as cheap as $3-6/IU in large quantities (I think about 1000 IU's). And I've also heard of "blue tops" and "brown tops"... is that what you're referring to?

I can get HGH through my HRT program, but the cost is like $12-15/IU, which is ridiculous. It's my understanding that HGH without a scrip is a no-no, am I correct?

Not sure about price discussions on this board but beings that you put up the price

I have found HGH for as little as $1.65 an IU and all over jintropen for around under 2 bucks an iu from China and in Europe.

The place I am looking at I cant read the freaking thing it is dutch or German or something.
I am in contace with the guy and he takes Visa Credit cards and by chance I have one of those...heee heee

100iu kits of jintropen for $4.32 an iu
I think he told me he would cut me some slack too.
