I just got back from seeing my Dr. and as it turns out my first script was for Humatrope is not HCG but HGH. The dam drug store gave me the wrong med. They gave me Novarel a generic to HCG. I am talking to my Dr. about HCG and he is talking about HGH. So this is why my dose was so high 500 IU's 3 times a week. My health care is the problem the Drug store input the script and Medcohealth tells them what is played for. So as it turns out my Dr. wanted me to start HGH first and then add HCG if my blood tests were not high enough. So now here is where I am at I am to stay on the HCG until my blood tests come back and if my levels are still down then I am to stop the HCG and go on Humatrope then add the lower dose of HCG later. My test for Growth Hormone have been low for some time <0.1 range 0.0 -7.0 ng/ml but my Drug plain did not pay for it now they do. Phil

I don't know why your doc is treating the hcg like the hgh would have any kind of effect on your test levels. Have you been taking the HGH? How did you feel? Also, you really should have had an IGF test done instead of an hgh test. This more acurately indicates a potential need for hgh.

Are you also saying the you gave the drug store a prescription for HGH and they gave you Novarel in return? Or did you give them a prescription for Profasi or Pregnyl and got Novarel in return? |

Phil..why was your dose 500 ius, 3 times a week though.. who determined that if you were meant to be on HGH? If you are indeed low on Growth hormone... The HGH supplementation I think will make a huge difference to you.... If your insurance is going to pay fot it... TAKE IT... like the others said! |

Hadn't you been discussing with your doc HCG, and thought that was what he was prescribing ? And then the pharmacy gave you generic HCG instead ? |

The IGF-1 is what the liver produces in response to the GH, and has a much longer 1/2 life. Most endo's prefer the IGF-1, but sometimes run both IGF-1 & GH |

Hi Phil, So when you felt great, it was from HGH and not hCG? I also think the dosage at 500iU's of HGH was too high if that was the case, Im glad your ok from it. But how did HGH increase your T levels so much, did you also notice an increase in testical size as well? Thanks!!! |

I think you got it wrong, he was prescribed HGH but he got hCG instead and he used his HGH dosage thinking the dosage was for hCG. The pharmacy made a big mistake. The way I understand it, Phil thought his script was for hCG because that’s what he got form the pharmacy. That’s why his T went up. It was all just a big mistake, he’s lucky the dosage of HGH was similar enough to hCG or it could have been disastrous if the same mistake was made with a different drug.

A full replacement dose for those with GH deficency is between 1-2iu per day = 7-14iu per week ....NOT 1500iu !! |
