I would also like to know the answer to this question.

It looks like all I need for my HRT is an anti-e, so I need to know which is the best long-term.

I tried DIM but it gives me chronic upset stomach.

Precisely my concern. I'm relatively young - 35... I'd like to make it through life with my own liver.

The non-script alternatives (Zinc, 6OXO) may not be all that much better for you?

But are they very dangerous when only taking very minute doses as we do for male HRT?

Aren't most studies based on quite high doses of 0.5mg to 1mg per day? So many of the negative effects may be from not having enough estrogen in the system, and not directly from the a-dex?

I'm only taking 0.125mg a day at the moment but still concerned...

I have been on Arimidex for a long dam time and my liver is fine we are not doing this 1mg. everyday.

The major side effect of arimidex is a screwed up lipid profile. This can of course lead to cardiovascular disease. Even in low doses, adex screws up your lipids. You should get your cholesterol checked regularly on arimidex. Arimidex also upregulates the estrogen receptors. This means that when you stop taking it, not only do you have more estrogen receptors, but you are also more sensitive to the effects of estrogen.
Nolvadex, I believe, is tougher on the liver than arimidex & you run the risk of blood clots & the development of certain types of cancer, amongst several other things.
