Question What Supplements are a Must?

What Supplements are a must while on TRT? If you recommend a supplement could please post where I could get it also? It would be much appreciated! I just started on TRT 400mg a month a shot and multi-vitamin. That's it. Do I need anything else?

400mg of T once a month, is an insane regimen to be on. This will lead to very high Estrogen levels, together with the chance of getting gynecomastia. Your T levels will go from extremely high, down to very low and cause an emotional rollercoaster.

Take Swale's protocol to your doctor together with his updated HCG protocol and ask him to follow it. If he refuses, then find another doctor, or get in touch with Swale about becoming a patient. www.allthingsmale.com

I understand this. I got an appointment for the urologist in January and will ask him about this regimen. He only comes to town once a month and I'm afraid he will won't prescribe the T cyp to me to administer on my own. But I'm going to ask anyway. Do you normally ask the urologist for HCG also?

Let me tell you something. Don't feel obliged to take whatever crappy regimen any doc will give you because you feel it's better than not getting any help at all. Taking a 400mg shot once a month is extremely bad for your health and you would be better off not taking anything at all. If this doc won't follow Swales protocol ( which is the right way to administer TRT), then move on very quickly, and find someone who will. If you post where your location is, perhaps someone can recommend a doc there. Otherwise, get in touch with Swale.

Go to this website http://www.womensinternational.com/contact.html and give them a call.

They are an HRT compounding pharmacy and they have doctors from around the country that order from them. They will send you a list of all the doctors that order from them in your location. You can use this list to find a doctor that is experienced in HRT in your area. Once you find a doc, I would suggest you still take swale's documents to them. I believe they should be more open minded to new/better TRT methods. Matter of fact, if you can find any local doc that is open minded and willing to use Swale's docs, you would be fine.

I don't think there is any vitamins that are required specifically because one is on TRT. There are a number of supplements that are good to take regardless of TRT, but thats up to you. A good multi-vitamin is a good idea. I use a very good one called "Natrol - My Favorite Multiple - Take One". I take vitamin E 200iu x3 per day d-alpha-tocopheryl. Beta Carotene 25000iu x 1 per day. Purified Fish oil 2grams x 3 per day. I used to take more, but right now, thats all I take.

My first TRT doc said that it was important to supplement B complex when on TRT. He didn't explain why, and I neglected to ask. I take a multi that provides plenty of B.

Prostate Formula
DIM
B Complex

What else do you all think.

If it were me, I would take a multi instead of the B complex.

I thought you suggested the B-Complex?

The multi I mentioned above has plenty of B Vit's in it and is very complete as far as providing what your body needs and in good amounts.

I'd suspect the suggestion for B is to address the acne that seems to accompany TRT.
