Exclamation what's going to happen when i stop clomid?

hello,

i'm a 20-year old guy being treated by an endocrinologist for secondary hypogonadism. he's inducing the completion of puberty, which for some reason kinda started and then halted. i've been taking 50 mg of clomid a day for two months; in the first month, my serum test levels went from 84 ng/dl to 786 ng/dl, with a proportionate increase in LH as well.

i'm awaiting my second-month blood test results, but my doc is already recommending i reduce the dosage to 1/2 pill, 25 mg, a day. while i'm worried that he's tapering off too soon, i am more worried about what might happen after i stop clomid completely (i obviously don't want to be on trt forever). my testicles have doubled in size, which is a welcome relief, and i feel as close to 'normal' as i ever have. will this continue after stopping the drug, or will my test levels plummet? does anybody else have a similar situation or used the drug in the past for this type of issue?

i am hoping that the clomid has simply flipped a switch in my brain to make hormones, and that after stopping the drug, my body's mechanisms will take over. but who knows.

also, another question: how do testosterone levels and thyroid hormone levels affect each other, if at all? i've had tsh tests ranging from 1.8 to 3.4, so i'm wondering if i'm borderline hypothyroid (even though i'm really, really skinny haha). i do have blue/purple fingernails and frequently feel cold. maybe the thyroid is the underlying issue, but i'm not 'out of range' so i can't really get treatment.

thank you for addressing my questions.

Clomid will have a greater chance of success the dr addresses all the other hormones in conjunction with the thyroid. Proper assessment of adrenal and thyroid, nutritional evaluation (porvide the building blocks) , stress managements, removing hidden infections and toxicity will more likely result in a significantly higher success rate. We re evaluate the level after 3 weeks to see where levels are at then adjust appropriately. untill we are ready to discontinue 8-10 week restart. There is no tampering so to speak, but slight adjustments at week 3-4 if necessary. With out proper thyroid clomid will mostly likely not stick and may be the prime reason why your T levels are low in the first place.
