Men's Health Forum: This is a discussion on Who Has Actually Recovered? within the Anabolic Steroids forums, part of the extensive steroid information at MESO-Rx; thank you madball i appreciate it brother. it sucks when you were normal before, and you didnt even use gear ...
thank you madball i appreciate it brother. it sucks when you were normal before, and you didnt even use gear as hardcore as most of these other ppl and you're the one stuck not recovering. atleast somebody else on the board realizes this is meant to be a positive thread and help everyone mentally.
I hear you guys...This section of the board can get you down at times. Like I said before if you want to hear success stories of recovering from steroid use you can find endless ones in the steroid forum or similar BB board with discussion of PCT and recovery. It is rare for someone to have done permanent damage from moderate steroid use. On another note...Some people need to pay closer attention to their mental state versus their physical. The effects of stress, depression, and anxiety on testosterone levels are well documented. It is quite likely that your not allowing your body to recover for this reason. I had this discussion the other day with my Dr. and he said that in his practice the #1 casue of low test in his young patients is not steroid use but STRESS! He said he has seen levels cut in half with some cases of depression. Everyone is quick to think their depression is from low test but it may be the other way around. I do beleive this was part of my problem as well.

Yes... The Mind/Body connection is a very powerful tool in recovery or lack of. That's the message I was trying to convey to Kid but I guess I came off too harsh.
My apologies to you Kid if I have gone too far and seemed too harsh on you. I do wish you the best in recovery and encourage you to keep going in trying to sort out your issues, and advise you to never give up. You'll get there in due time..

So very true - I think this was a big cause of my "hypogonadism" - depression and anxiety just wearing me out. I feel soo much more positive energy now that I have been dealing with mental health- mostly dealing with environmental/ family stressors - as seriously as I have been with physical health. I feel much better now than I was feeling even on a healthy dose of test. It was a big mistake to assume that a "low" level of testosterone was the cause of my symptoms.
depending on how long and how much of a steroid you used, it may be impossible to recover. If you use a huge dosage of a steroid for more than a month or more, I do not believe you will ever fully recover. ALot of guys say they have recovered because they are able to keep gains, but most of them lie, and are in fact still taking steroids. I don't personally know anyone who has used steroids for a month or more who ever really gets off of them and has their testosterone levels fully recover and their htpa function normally. People claim this, but everyone wants to tell themselves that they have recovered

Wow...I am not sure how many steroid users you know or their expertise on the subject, PCT methodoloy, etc....because the majority of users I know fully recover. As I said in a previous post I have a friend that has used for years...usually runs cycles of 6+ mos but always with a year or more break between cycles. His last cycle for example was a gram of test per week along with other drugs intermingled along the way...and his T levels are right back to baseline 4 months after cessation. It really is a highly individual thing though and you are making several very big generalizations .

yes some of my posts are negative because i've been going through this probably the longest out of everyone. A little over 3 years at this point and I'm only 20 years old. Yes I have a few good test results here and there BUT they are always followed by a plethora of terrible ones. Also how is this board positive? Every "restart log" I see always ends with failure. This is a positive thread and can really mentally help those feeling discouraged about the condition. I urge those who have recovered to simply share their story or just confirm this
You are not the only one that has went throught it for an extended period of time. My levels were low all my life. They always hovered around 300, sometimes over, sometimes under. Then at 19 I went on TRT. SO from puberty to 19 I was dealing with low t. Youre not special.
