Hey guys, It's been awhile, but I'm back. I've noticed that in the past two years, I've been slowly developing masculine wrinkles (at age 24) that suddenly appeared after two years of TRT. My primary concern is crows feet. Very DEEP crows feet that appear if I squint my eyes, but are non-visible when my eyes are relaxed. I've been using Arimidex to lower E2 as directory by my doctor. I don't have any typical low-E problems. I understand that men have 'masculine' lines in their faces due to lower subcutaneous facial fat in relation to that of a woman. So, is it testosterone that is creating the lines in male faces? Or, is it low estrogen that prevents a thicker layer of fat in the face which prevents wrinkles?

Very intresting post, thank for this one James. When i developed low t i noticed i got alot more "wrinkly" on my face and hands. Did you experience any symptoms of dry skin or thinning? |

More T means stronger muscle contractions. Stronger muscle contractions can lead to lines developing on the face. Just my observation, but people on TRT appear to age faster in the face.

Does your face get oily on TRT mine does and the Dr. told me I am lucky it keeps you looking younger.

Its a combination of genetics, sun exposure, diet, and lifestyle. If anything test keeps you younger. In fact I will go as far as to say that low test causes wrinkles.

I have to agree with Role Model fully on this one, when my T dipped i started noticing the lines on my face being obvious, so it is low t related but i am not sure if this is caused by E2 or T itself.

I've been on TRT for 6 years - No wrinkles, no crows feet, no laugh lines, etc. (I'm 42, but like RoleModel, also look mid-thirties). I'm also a sun worshipper! My parents are approaching 80 and their skin is so good, no one believes they are as old as they are. A lot of it is genes, I'm afraid. Try Strivectin for the wrinkles. It's VERY expensive, but I have friends who swear by it.

If u want great skin, put this product on your face using a cotton ball each night before bed. http://www.bio-oil.info/ World's #1 best selling skin care product. It seriously is great, it makes your face so soft and smooth, and evens out any blotches etc. It feels a little oily when u apply for a couple of minutes and then it will absorb, unless you've put too much on. |
