i eat it when i can. it's good stuff. it makes great jerky too since it's so low fat. it tends to last longer and i just love the flavor. it's wild too, so it has the proper omega 3:6 ratio. good stuff if you get your hands on it. eat the liver and other organs too if you like them. they're extremely healthy.

Haven't eating any deer lately, But I'm down to my last 6 packs of Elk burger. Luckily I got a tag this year. 350lbs of meat doesn't last as long as it used to ..........11

My dad would get a deer or three every season when I was a kid. He even paid to hunt a bison once (we had to buy an extra freezer).

Anyway - are any of you concerned with the wasting diseases that have been popping up (mostly in the midwest I think)?

Bon apetite,
Homer_J

no, not really. i live and hunt in the South, and as far as I know most of the problems with wasting disease are in the extreme north midwest.

There's some cases in Colo. and N.Mex in the elk herds and deer I believe. Nothing in AZ so far. ( except big Elk )..................11
