This is such a broad question. Everyone will have their preference. I love Optimum Nutrition Whey Concentrate 100% Gold Standard. I also like concentrate whey from supplementdirect.com. I like the 100% whey Isolate from allthewhey.com Creatine evolves so much so I don't know. I like Creatine Ethyl Ester but I have heard a lot of people like Creatine Gluconate.

Do you think creatine pills are better than the drink? I picked up some "Six Star" drink mix but its all sugar, 42 grams per serving. The ethel ester pills are so expensive, This leads me to check out other brands. I could care less about taste, I just dont want to be climbing the walls on sugar.

I pick up EAS or SportPharma whey at Sams Club - 6 pounds for something like $22.

As far as creatine goes, just make sure you go with a creatine ethyl ester product & not creatine monohydrate (even though monohydrate is cheaper, you have to load with it & alot of people have stomach/gas issues with it). For protein, whey is easier to mix/digest as long as you're not lactose-intolerant. Try http://www.netrition.com/ for good selection & prices. |

| www.nutratplanet.com, www.supplementdirect.com also has great prices. The cheapest price I have seen so far for L-Glutamine in 1kg size is at nutraplanete.com by nutraplanet. I think theirs is like $22 or so. Both sites have great prices for creatine and whey protein. Also you can't go wrong with www.1fast400.com as well.

Simply put, some products will work for you while some other won't. You have to experiment. Also you should stick with a quick absortion protein (like hydrolized) for the biggest part of the day and before bed you should take casein protein which is absorbed slowly and keeps you anabolic. Regarding creatine monohydrate now, i never had any problems while on the loading phase. It also gives me better and more keepable gains. You should also know that HMB and creatine can give you fantastic results if your water, carb, calorie and protein intake are high. Good luck. |
