Default Calories and AAS

Why is it that someone with a 1,700/day Maintenance calorie intake, while off cycle, needs so many more calories while on cycle, besides the obvious reason of just wanting to have enough nutrients in your body for growth? Is it because AAS increases metabolism so fast that that many more calories are needed,or AAS just don't use calories efficient enough? I have to go to work now,but i'll be back to ask a few more questions when i get some replies...... I'm watching this white kid walk down the block with his baggy ass shirt and shorts with his cap on backwards and i'm wondering where the costum party is. Did you ever notice that white hiphop kids walk like chinese people with a bop? They take quick little steps and they throw in that bop. If they want to do it like the black guys do it they have to get the proper strut down. You have to take longer strides and slow it down. Act like you have plenty of time to get where your going. That's how i do it.

lol My friend is 180lbs and wanted to see if Mentzer was right about the amount of calories one needs to maintain ones size,so he watched what he ate for 2 weeks and found that he had an average of 1,770 calories. He doesn't workout very hard, long,or that many X/week,and he keeps the same BF and muscle size,so he has a 1,700/day maintenance calorie intake. He is also not 6yrs old

Well, if you don't work out hard or long or often, then, of course, your caloric needs are lesser than other people's.

To answer the question, I think a lot of times the caloric needs are over stressed. If you wish to put on a shitload of weight at once, then, by all means, eat like a pig. However, know that much of that will be bodyfat.

Now, you can, on the other hand, eat reasonably. Sure, you won't gain as much weight, but it'll be more "quality" weight. I think it's because people want it NOW and they fail to realize that BB is not a sport of days or weeks. Rather, it is a sport of years. So, if you put on 10lbs/year, in 5 years you are 50lbs heavier. That is an easy goal for anyone but the most advanced trainess to attain.

Well, that's basically what i was getting at. I just don't get why someone would tell a 170lb bber to eat 5,000 cal/day. That seems like alot more than he would need for gaining muscle.

It probably is. Of course, there shouldn't be any 170lbers on the board...unless they're 5'5".
