Default Carb Drinks during Workout - Necessary??

Read an article today that got me thinking. I am researching alot about Supplements - which ones actually work, When and Why to take them, etc. (currently I am only sold on what I'm taking which is Swole and Op Nutr Protein Powder),

I read an article that stated it was Vital to have some form of Carb Drink during a workout. It stated that it would assist with recovery and reduce soreness. I drink lots of water (in and out of the Gym) and drink one Protein Shake (mixed with water) immediately following my W/Out.

I am a natural endmorph and am trying to lean out, my Diet is very good (not perfect) and I'm a little concerned about adding more of anything to my diet if its not necessary.

Is there a need for a Carb supplement drink during a workout?

Your thoughts and experiences are appreciated.

A carb drink during your workout will help with fatigue, soreness, workout intensity and probably aid in recovery. But if you are dieting and trying to lean out, then I would recommend against a carb drink during your workout. For mass phases, then its a perfect addition.

Carb drinks during the workout keeps the Insulinase hormone high, helps create and environment conducive to big pumps, plus Cortisol and Insulin cant live together in the same body at the same time very well..Insulin will blunt cortisol's effect, thus less mucle soreness due to the dampened effect of the cortisol. All this i am echoing the other correct bro's statements, not necessary but yes, it is beneficial.

I wouldn't use one when your cutting or bulking up. It will raise insulin levels to the point of which you inhibit anabolism.

Kustom, I have a serious question for you. Do you make posts just to disagree with me? Or do you really think about what youre saying first?

Perfectly said. And the carb solution should be kept to 7% for many reasons. If you want em, you'll have to wait until later. I'm tired of typing and off to bed!
