Default creatine burst

has anyone tried GNC's creatine burst? apparently its regular creatine except they added something called "guanidinoacetate" which keeps your body producing creatine even when you are supplementing with it. the advantage of this is #1 all of the creatine you supplement goes into your body plus the creatine your body makes naturally so you get a little bonus, and #2 since your body never quits making its own creatine, you don't have to cycle it. What do you guys think- bullshit or decent product? i have heard pretty good reviews and its a lot cheaper than celltech, but i don't usually like GNC products.

dude there is only so much creatine your body can absorb. Once your muscles are saturated they will not take any more creatine in and you will just end up litterally pissing away money. All you need is 5 grams a day. Even the loading phase is a bunch of money makin shit. This came straight from Gunter's mouth when I met him last week.

I agree there. Studies have shown that you will absorb more during the loading phase at first but by the end of the month levels will be the same either way.

I just started another cycle of creatine, and was told to take it 4 times a day at 5g for the first week, then after that 5g a day to maintain.... is it true the loading phase is bullshit?

Have any of you read chemical muscle enhancement? Here's Author L. Rea's statement on loading:
"Loading phases (contrary to the belief of some half-experts) are very important to bodybuilders and strength athletes when using any supplemental creatine product. The goal is to raise muscle creatine concentrations to a supraphysiological level as quickly as possible. If the creatine product is simply ingested at a daily so-called maintenance dosage the result will be an action/reaction type response in which the body down-regulates CP storage enzyme secretion thus limiting the actual possible muscle cell CP hyper-concentration (total muscle cell CP content).

Since ATP is the basis of all growth, and CP is the basis of ATP regeneration, does the elimination of a loading-phase seem maximum progress goal oriented? This increases nitrogen retention and creates an osmotic effect within muscle cells. You have often read about cell volumization in every creatine ad. If a bodybuilder is using creatine stores as fast as they come in, how can a supraphysiological (above normal concentration) saturation exist? Duh! Load first."

I myself use a product called CreActiv, which basically is a combination of glutamine and creatine. I take about 10 grams of pure creatine on my training days, and about 3 grams on my off-days.

It's probably just money out the window, and I've never bothered to use creatine before since I eat lots of meat, but the formula seems to works very fine.

I'm running this cycle now as long as the supply lasts (all in all it's about 2 and a half month), and then it's off the creatine again. How long should I wait before getting back on, and am I just totally fucking my creatine intake up by doing what I do now?

The loading phase is total bullshit. There are more studies against the loading phase then for it. I can also trell you from personal experience that there is no difference if you do the loading phase then if you dont. Your body will still get the same results. You also dont have to cycle creatine like every one says. I just take a week of once in a while to flush a my supplements out of my system and start fresh and also give my muscles a break.
