| | Egg Whites I have been ordering from Egg Whites International for some time now but I am going through about a case a month and it's getting pretty expensive. Has anyone tried the products from Healthy Eggwhites? Egg whites, eggwhites, eggwhite, liquid egg white, frozen eggwhites, liquid protein, wholesale, muscle gain, gain muscle mass, lean muscle, lose fat, lose weight, gain muscle, diet to lose fat, diet to gain muscle, high protein, fat free diet, low ca
They are cheaper then Egg Whites Int but want to make sure the product is still as good. If anyone has any other sites they can recommend it would be most appreciated.
Thanks |

Lana's egg whites has 165 egg whites per tub at $40 per tub (29.99 + 10.01 S&H).
Healthy egg whites has 300 eqq whites for $96 (70 + 26).
When I buy eggs at my local supermarket, on sale I'll pay about $3 per 18 eggs. So for Lana's that equates to about $27.50 for the same 165 eggs, or if comparing to Healthy's, $50 for 300 eqq whites... plus I get the entire egg. Consider eating the yolk which has good fat... and more protein... and vitamins and minerals.
I can't quite figure out why people overpay to get less?
Best regards,
MaxRep

Best regards,
MaxRep | i get mine at kroger. they're $4 for two cartons which is 4 cups. i used to eat whole eggs but ended up having some cholesterol problems so started using the whites. i don't mind paying the little extra cuz i'm lazy and hate having to do the whole seperation thing with the yolk and the white i have 1 cup of whites and 2 whole eggs each morning so i'm still getting the good part of the yolk |

| | Re: Egg Whites Max,
I myself would rather eat the whole egg.
Now regarding you, out of a dozen eggs, how many whole eggs will you eat. I can hard-boil 18 at a time and eat them over the whole day.
Thanks. Quote:

| | Re: Egg Whites Funny thing coming across this post now cause I was just planning to post up the following question:
I was wondering to myself, if I crack open a whole lotta eggs and place all the egg whites and a
few yolks (according to my prefered ratio) in a big jug for easy pouring and frying in the days to come, how long do you guys think the stuff will keep if I keep it in the fridge?
Once the asepsis barrier is broken how long before these raw eggs go off?
Thanks guys, curious to know cause it'll determine how many eggs I can place in a container at one time... |

| | Re: Egg Whites For OQ
First if anyone is buying whole eggs separating, throwing the yolk away and only using the whites they are 1 wasting money, 2 only getting about 1/2 of the protein they may believe they are getting. American Egg Board - Nutrition for Kids & Family "The yolk also includes healthy monosaturated and polyunsaturated fats and almost half of the high-quality protein found in eggs."
So if comparing whole eggs from the local market to 100% egg whites by volume/price you need to must factor in the approximate 40%+ reduction in protein is separating the yolk.
18 eggs $3.00
If you are separating you are paying
$3.00 for 10.8 eggs it may be closer to 9.x but you get the point.

For the second question of storage.
Unless you introduce some sort of contamination the eggs will keep longer out of the shell in a tightly sealed container. The shell is permeable, so o2 enters and spoils the fats, and mold may be able to enter and setup shop on some protein.
People buy separated eggs in cardboard cartons at the store everyday.
If you're hyper concerned, blanch the eggs before cracking the shells.
boil water, pour over bowl containing the eggs, covering them with 2-3" of water. Leave the eggs in the water for 30 sec. and remove.
Make sure the eggs are already at room temp or the cold will sap the heat from the water thus removing it's bacterial killing potential.
Powdered egg whites are the way to go. what do you think every whoever's better than the other's Super Massive Protein Powders are made from?
Powdered egg whites.
