No egg whites here. I stay away from raw eggs. If I want additional protein to a protein (whey) shake, I usually add about 1/4 cup of non-fat cottage cheese, 1 tablespoon of flaxseed oil and two packets of Splenda. Blend it up well and chug it down!

That brings up another question of mine as well . . .

What's the deal with flax seeds/oil? What do they do for you?

Plus your body utilizes cooked eggs much better than raw...cottage cheese is loaded with glutamine...

mmm eggs.

If anyone is going to eat eggs raw-- gte Lana's Eggwhites or Eggology- all the proper tests have been performed on them to ensure no bacteria and diseases.

Otherwise go to Trueprotein.com and order some egg protein or whole egg protein powder-- the stuff is great for breakfast and bedtime shakes.

Initially I thought you were talking about eating something similar to what Meat Train suggested. I do this, and it's a great way to get fairly cheap and easy protein from technically a real food source. There are a number of brands that you can buy as far as liquid egg whites go, but I would look for one that is 100% egg whites, and has no gums and preservatives. I drink half of a carton (8 oz.) in the morning, and the same at night before bed. Each portion is 26 grams of protein, and I drink it straight out of the carton. I wouldn't suggest eating raw eggs, plus I read that the utilization of protein is not very good if done this way, not to mention the possibility of salmonella.

Try eating the yokes too. They have a lot of nutrients that are essential to you.
