Default Eggs - Shells Sticking??

Hey Guys, quick question about boiling Eggs. I use some that are bought from the local grocery and some from my own Chickens. My problem is the shells are sticking to the egg so when I try and peel the shell off I end up losing huge chunks of good egg. Anyone else have this problem?? Anyone know of a solution - (besides some of your Hard Core individuals that just eat them Shell and all) -..... how about longer/shorter boiling times, Salt to the water, etc???

Thanks

I have that happen to me every now and then and I can't figure out for the life of me why. I think it might have something to do with undercooking them a bit as I seem to notice it happening more often when I leave the yolks a little runny.

Older eggs peel better. Boil for 5 min. let sit for 10. place in cold water. Usuall have no problems. Been boiling up 4-5 dozen per week for the last few weeks.

Add salt to the water and that problem will be gone. Add a generous amount.

That will do it. I cover the eggs after cooking for 5 minutes. After 10, Place immediatley in cold water bath with a little ice. You'll be set bro.

put eggs under cold water for 20 seconds or so after boiling (i do this coz it stops me from burining my fingers LOL!)

Under the shell or over the white - whatever way u look at it- there is a small film, the secret is to go for the film, and the shell will come off simple.

I always peel eggs under a running faucet it seems to help the shell come off much easier

Ok fellas for those of you sick bastards that still eat boiled egg whites after you let them cool, turn them sideways and lightly roll them back and forth on a hard surface and the shell will split in 2.

(4 of us bodybuilders saved $ by living in a house in the early 90's, our women said it smelled like egg whites and ass)
