Default Heavy Weight Gainers

Has anyone tried these? They last for about 2 weeks and are 50 bucks but they give you 3750 calories throughout the day with 3 shakes...A buddy said he gained 17 lbs in a month and kept all of it, and he doesn't use, and most of it was muscle...Let me know what you think.I just bought " Serious Mass " by Optimum Nutrition.

I am always on the run and unfortunately have to get alot of my food from shakes. I have been using SERIOUS MASS and have put on 50 pounds total since last summer and keeping it fairly easy.

I have two bros taking the same product and they are each up atleast 20 pounds and are maintaining it pretty easily.

I take 4 shakes a day (each shake is only 1 and 1/2 scoop) plus 3 whole food meals and it works pretty good. So from the shakes i get around 2500 calories and 100 grams of protein. I make up for the small amount of protein by eating large quantaties of whole food protein during my actual meals.

OH and here is a TIP: DO NOT MAKE THESE THINGS IN A BLENDER! I am a GREAT smoothie maker befcause i sed to work at a smoothie store but I CANNOT make these things without fluffing them up to over 3 cups of fluid/foam. SO buy a shaker bottle with a grid and mix with water to keep the shake VERY thin and fast to drink.

A cheap place to get the 12 pound bag is at vitglo.com
If you buy two bags you get free shipping (because its over $50) AND you can get a shaker bottle form there too.

Hope this helped

buy a protien carb blend from one of the websites that will custom bled a mix for you better quality carbs and a better price

or better yet got milk ?

its not for everyone if you can handle the lactose and are gaining
its a great convienient way to bump you daily calories by 1000 +
and up the protien by 120 grams

although at 3 bucks a gallon shake mix may be cheaper but im to lazy to do the math for you at 5:30 in the morning

dear frosty,

i don't know about all weight gainer shakes, but the Serious Mass by ON has the following per serving:

approx 50 grams of protein
appros 250 grams of carbs, only 20 of which are sugar
and approx 1250 calories.

since it is so low in sugar, i would imagine it tastes like shit just like all other ON proteins.

Take both! Milk is sooo fucking good. 2 gallons a day would be great but i dont have room to carry around that much liquid. I can easily get 1/2 gallon of milk per whole meal so mayhbe i will try upping the milk too....

I think SERIOUS MASS tastes like hot chocolate that has been chilled. It is kinda rich with te chocolate but it is alot better than most shakes i have tried.... but with 20 grams of sugar it should be

Two gallons of milk a day???? I'm calling bullshit on this one. It can be hard for me to get in 2 gallons of water a day!!! You would'nt be able to eat anything else and you would be shitting ALL day if you had 2 gallons in one day. Maybe if you didn't drink any water.

Personally, I use the non fat, lactose free milk. It's expensive, I use 1/2 gallon to 1 gallon a day and that costs me about $3.50-$7/day just for milk but it's worth it.

NOthing better than large quantities of steak, eggs, potatos, PB&J sandwiches and milk to pack on the muscle. Throw in a few protein drinks and you'll be a mass monster in no time!
