Default Needing Protein Drink recipe

OK ...here is the deal in a nutshell....I am fed up with all the premixed protein drinks out there....I am very dependant on them for my diet, and I count on them for the protein and some cals...I just cant do the taste anymore....I am a lucky guy because I am not a sweets fan, so I am not into chocolate, vanilla, boo-berry and all that crap....do any of you guys have a good homemade recipe thats not really sugary sweet, but has all the good stuff in it?....These things are starting to make me want to puke after all the years of forcing them down....It really has me frustrated...Thanks in advance for your time!

16 ounces drained tunafish
1/3 cup picante sauce (not brand from new york)
2 tablespoons virgin olive oil

blend all ingredients in high speed blender for 1 minute ,serve cold.

Just joking bro....I feel for you..I hate the way most premixed shakes taste.I am sure you have treid this already but if you have vanilla flavor protien add frozen fruits to it and blend it up.I even add ice cream to it sometimes and blend that up..I am a hard gainer though.
The best tasting I have found so far is muscle milk chocolate milk flavor mixed with skim milk and ice.I know this is not what you were asking but it might help. The tuna recipe above can be altered abit ..you can substitue the tuna with grilled salmon if you like. Or would you just rather force feed yourself the muscle milk ?

I usually drink a few Myoplex Chocolate Cream MRP's a day with 16 oz or so skim milk....but I when i want a change (or feel like I'm not getting enough fruit) I make these:
Handful of frozen blueberries
Handful of frozen strawberries
2-4 scoops Designer Whey (Chocolate Usually, but any will work)
Most of a banana (whats left after i take a big ol bite, cuz usually when i'm doing this I'm HUNGRY)
Throw all of this in a blender, then add either skim milk or Boathouse farms Cappuccino flavored perfect whey (I get it at Costco and it is excellent!) until I get enough in there for it to blend properly...usually a few cups. Sometimes I'll add some suger free chocolate syrup or some splenda... I DO have a sweet tooth.
I keep the blueberries and the strawberries frozen because i don't like to add ice, ice just takes up space and adds no nutritional value.
Depending on where I'm at re my diet and training sometimes I'll add a tablespoon or so of CLA and/or some unflavored creatine to the mix. One thing, if you plan on taking it with you to drink later, just omit the banana...it doesn't do well in liquid form after a few hours. It didn't make me throw up, but it just gets a bit tangy if you know what I mean.
I know this is kind of general, but I've lived on this basic "recipe" for days and days...not that I recommmend that but it's worked for me

Thanks for the suggestions guys.....Looks like I need to start using whey, fruit, and yogurt and find a happy medium...The bloat I get from the other stuff is just excrutiating...I have tried Myoplex before and I do seem to get along with it better than most....It doesn't seem to be as sweet to me or something.....

Dennis....I sure wished I could eat tuna fish....I would be alot better off than I am now....I just cant do it.....Smells like cat food

Believe it or not, the Myoplex deluxe tastes alot better than the regular Myoplex...but it's hard for me to justify the extra expense looking at the difference in the nutrient profile. And if you look around and or wait for the sales you can usually get the regular Myoplex for just over $1.00 per serving.
And props to role....I also use low fat low sugar flavored yogurt in my concoctions occasionally as well....LOVE the Harris Teeter blueberry and strawberry-banana.

It may sound gross, but if you have vanilla protien already throw 1 scoop of that in the blender with milk, natty peanut butter, blueberries, and oatmeal. Thats shit is good!
