Default Using casein for slow absorption

I know that casein is absorbed over a period of time, providing a protein source over several hours. I also know that whey protein is absorbed fairly rapidly by the body. I enjoy drinking my whey protein drink with milk for breakfast. I usually mix a scoop of whey protein with 2 cups of nonfat milk. I also take a Tablespoon of UDO's choice (3-6-9) for my healthy fats. If I want to add carbs to this breakfast meal, I will toast up 2 slices of stone ground whole wheat or multigrain bread. This provides additional fiber and with the fats, I think further slows down the absorption thus leading to sustained energy levels and controlled insulin release. What are your thoughts of using this as a breakfast meal?

If you are training hard, I would eat a protein shake for wakeup at least like 40-50g w/ at least 3-4 pieces of your whole wheat toast, I do that when I am in a hurry and still have gained great over the years w/ it/

Thumbs up Re: Using casein for slow absorption

That sounds like a plan. Thanks for the feedback.
