I want to hear everyone’s opinion on the best Multi-Vitamin.
What they would recommend and why.
Any bad experiences as well as good ones.
I don’t want to get into any arguments about whether or not they work or don’t see results. I just want to hear what everyone takes and their opinions of other supplements.
Feel free to post only your multi, or if you want, post what you take on a daily basis.
Me personally, I’ve been taking GNC’s Mega Men Daily Multi as well as a B-Complex, fish oil, and L-Glutamine.
I want to change my Mega Men ($30 a month) to something a little more affordable so lets hear some good feedback!
There are a lot of good ones out there. Still fav, is Spectro by solaray. But previously I've used Ultra Mens Daily by twin lab for a year, and now I'm trying out Ultimate Nutrition complete Daily. I have easy access to Twin Lab products and have been very happy with this product line. But here is a list of my Daily stuff. But I've tried tons of stuff out there, so let me know questions.
Country Life Maxi C complex 1000mg twice daily
Complete Daily Multi ultimate nutrition
Coromega orange 2 packets daily (omega 3)
Twin Lab Zinc 30mg night
Cal Mag w Vit D, twice daily
Twin Lab B-6 100mg 6x daily (only sometimes do I need this)
just think of the process...compact hard tablet, takes a long time for the body to break it apart, and by that time, its useless. Caps start the moment it hits your tongue. It costs less for a company to produce a tablet, that's why GNC, Walgreen's, Jewel...ect offer tablet products, cheap materials, cheap production, really cheap price.
You're logic does make sense as far as the process seems cheaper and everything.
Im just not sure if I'll let the disintegration rate be the factor in my multi-vitamin choice ya know?
Now I will say, that there are a few really good company's out there who produce tablets in a very light compact form, you can smash them with your fingers. ex. country life, solgar, Solaray, Kal. Enzymatic Therapy, (Nature's plus - I found them to be a bit harder) But you decide since your the one taking the product. But there are some good ones out there. If you ever have any questions just ask. Been in this industry for a long time.
There are alot of "junk" multis out there. Alot of companies use cheap processed versions of the vitamins and minerals in their products, and the body cannot utilize them. Find a multi that gets the vitamins and minerals from whole food/natural sources. The minerals should be chelated as well.
I prefer "Alive" by Natures Way. Source Naturals also makes a good Multi that was highly ranked. Bot are affordable.
