Buddy, I'll talk with you all day long about anything under the sun, but don't for one second assume you know a thing about me and what I've dealt with in life. That kind of hasty generalization is the trademark of racists. As many people that die every day, you would have to be a whole new level of naive to think that some small time crack dealer getting shot by security in the back parking lot of a small time Oklahoma City night club is worthy of a Detroit news brief.
Its true that most times we are able to either subdue them physically or with non-lethal weapons, but every so often (last saturday) it seems that shit just erupts. I can usually feel it coming on when its gonna happen. About 20 some odd thugs getting in each others faces and then before you know it, bullets are flying. I've seen it get so bad that OCPD has pepper sprayed the club at full capacity, which is nearly 850 people, just to get everyone outside to handle the fight.
I've pushed my way through people in that club to get to a young girl unconsious on the floor, in seizures, and vomiting with every breath; all while people stepped right over her without any regard! That was perhaps one of the hardest to deal with for me, I lost my voice screaming at everyone to get the fuck out of my way while I carried that poor girl outside to the paramedics. Some worthless fuck wanted to slip her a mickey so he could go have his way with her, but he was so stupid that he gave her too much and she fell ill. Ironically, that probably saved her from a worse fate.
I'll be honest, I used to be a very open minded person. But the longer I live and the more I see, the more tempted I become to bang the gavel of judgement on whole classes of people. I wasn't born a racist, but I'll most likely die one.
I'll admit I live where all the cops, doctors, lawyers, mothers a judge who left me the house across the street from Emanuel Stewart's Manchant in Palmer Park if you knew anything about Detroit but it's obvious you don't because your a moron. FYI- unless the demographics have changed drastically in 2 years, the 2004 census has Detroit at 80% black. Furthermore, so you own a house in Detroit? That's nice. A job at Burger King pays for a 63k house, which, before you get smart, is the average home price as of 2004. See city-data.com for statistics.
And why are you so proud of Detroit? We're talking about a city that, 20 years ago, was one of the top 5 most thriving metropolises in the US....until the demographics changed. What is it now? I honestly don't know how you can stand it, if you have to do it and you got no other source of income then I understand, but some people do have other jobs and still do it. weeeell for me, like I was sayin', I got asked by a buddy of mine who does it as a regular job. He works at a bunch of different places, but as you can tell this one was bad. He'd lost a bunch of security guys because they kinda wigged out and couldn't take it anymore so, he asked me if I would come out and watch his back until the manager hired more regular guys. Its been a few months now, and I don't think I'll have to help out much longer, but it has definitely been an eye opening experience for sure.
