| Political Discourse: This is a discussion on Pro-Choice vs. Pro-Life within the Discussion forums, part of the extensive steroid information at MESO-Rx; I'm guessing that most of you guys are Pro-Lifers. But I imagine that some of you think there should be ... |

If you can come up with a rational argument for pro-life, I'll listen...and then tear it apart. Again, notice how I said "rational". The only arguments ever advanced for the case of pro-life is that "we can't play god", "the bible says no", "Jesus lvoes us all" and other nauseating horse shit that has not place in a rational debate.

Let's see if I can shoot this out right quick. Let's say there are these spores that float around in the air. If they get in through your open window, then they grow into mushrooms in your carpeting. This is obviously not what you want at all. So, you put screens in your windows to prevent these spores from entering your house. (that's an analogy for wearing a condom) If a spore were to somehow manage to get through your defenses, are you now beholden to let that spore grow? That's my position. |

spores=fetus and mushrooms=babies??? wow, some analogy, grizz. This could be a very heated debate. To say there are NO arguments to go either way is narrow-minded. There are very reasonable well thought out arguments for both sides of the spectrum. Tons of different scenarios to consider, like roadkills'.

I didn't say there weren't any. I just said that all people ever do is say either A) You're killing a BABY(which it's not) or B) God says you can't do that. Both are emotional appeals that are not actual arguments. edit- no spores are semen, the carpet is the uterus and the mushrooms are the fetus/ii When I come back later, I'll throw out the violinist analogy. Maybe, I don't know if I feel like it. For the record, I didn't make up either one, although I wish I had. Last edited by Grizzly; 07-11-2005 at 05:55 PM. |

Grizz, in your mind, is there any point that aborting a fetus would be considered murder? 3 months, 5 months, 8 months? Or as long as its still in the womb, is it ok to kill it? CyniQ, youre a good man. |
