Glenn Beck is a talk show host who is now under fire because he called out president Obama for his comments to Sgt. James Crowley. Beck called Obama a racist for his comments (which was completely accurate) and now the organization colorofchange.org has gone after his advertisers. Several major advertisers have pulled out and now Fox is debating firing Mr. Beck. This man is one of very few figures on television who will stand up and say the truth he needs everyones support. A petition is being sighned supporting him. Please add your name and a comment if you would like.
This whole situation is quite ridiculous.........people are forgetting what this country is suppost to support and stand for........its funny how much of a lack of concern there is for free speech when obama is involved. The man is entitled to free speech and others are trying to ruin him, its quite pathetic.

Glenn beck speaks the truth as much as the schizophrenic on the corner. He now says anything to get ratings and create controversy. This time, according to whatever organization is going after him, he went too far. If you, or he, can't handle when people call you out on what you say maybe you shouldn't be saying it. He is a douchebag. I used to like what he had to say when he way still on CNN, but since he's been on fox he tries way too hard to get attention. I don't care what he talks about, im not listening.
LizardKing, you're a really cool guy and I respect the things that you say. In this particular instance, I disagree. We do have freedom of speech in this great country, but what you say is gonna have it's consequences and you're gonna have to live with that, and so will I and so will Glen Beck.
If you say the wrong thing at the gym or at a bar, you might get your ass kicked. If you say the wrong thing to your boss, you might get fired. And if you say the wrong thing to your customers/clients, you may lose business. That's just how it goes. The good news, is that you're probably not gonna be thrown in jail or executed because you said the wrong thing.
In regard to Glenn Beck's comment: What he said isn't true. To say that President Obama is racist against white people would mean that he's racist against half of his family tree and that's just ridiculous. He would have to be 25% racist against his own daughters. Talk like that serves no purpose and it divides our country when we should be trying to Unite our Country.
Think about this. You're at your first month or 2 of a new job. And some other dude is spreading rumors around the site that your a pedophile/rapist. Would you not want to kick that guy's ass?
Personally, I think there should be some law that permits you to kick that guy's ass. I don't like it when people present lies as facts. Also, I'm not crazy about people presenting opinions as facts either. You're entitled to your own opinion, but you're not entitled to your own fact.

Read the story...the fact is Professor Gates just happened to be a friend of Obama, and he was
arrested for disorderly conduct after Officer Crowley had completed his investigation. As to
Glenn Beck referring to Obama as a racist...maybe a little much, but he did act bias in the fact
that he basically called an entire police department stupid for doing their job. Would he have made these remarks if
Professor Gates was not a friend....doubt it!!
they DIDNT do their job, they baited an obviously egotistical professor into stepping out in public for the express excuse of arresting him...for "disturbing the [public!] peace". they abused their authority, as police often do, and Obama's great failing here was choosing to defend his rude egomaniacal friend while declining to speak out against far more egregious police brutality during his campaign.
You know, I really couldnt care less what happens to Glenn Beck, or any of the other....well, what do you really call a person whose job it is to stir up a bunch of shit and piss people off who disagree with "your" political point of view or leaning...just to make a "name" for themselves, or to get ratings=for money/power? Whatever you call em....I just dont care. These people are really good at making the general public think they "care" about "issues" and they feel like its their "duty" to "inform the public": Oh give me a fucking break. All they are doing is pushing their own agenda forward and trying to cash in on whatever fucked up thing (read:flavor of the month) they can get people pissed off about and so engender support...be it financial, political or just plain old vanity.
Sooner or later we are going to stop buying in to the pablum we are being spoon fed by the media and the political parties. Or we wont.
