What the hell is wrong with these people, who a day after the Pope quotes some 14th Century emporer, muslims riot in the streets, burn effigies of the Pope, and call for his death? IMO, they just proved exactly what the 14th century dude was saying about Muslims. "We're peaceful people, a peaceful religion....KILL THE POPE, HE MUST DIE! INFIDEL! ALL CHRISTIANS AND JEWS MUST DIE!"

You see, my good friend, religion is a brain disease. It corrodes your mental faculties; namely, that of reason.
This disease seems to run in cycles. At one point, it was the Christians who were the most afflicted with violent, irrational behavior and a desire to force their views on the world. It has now spread to the Muslims, but, don't worry, your own madness is not far behind.

Why is it that the President of Iran can call the Holocaust a hoax/joke and call on Muslims to kill all Jews and he is revered as a hero in the Muslim community. You don't hear a single Muslim leader who is moderate in his/her views calling for an apology. You don't hear Jews calling for the President of iran's assassination (alothough they should) or for him to be kidnapped and tortured. You don't see Jews killing innocent Muslim charity workers as retaliation for a few words.
The Pope has done nothing wrong and I hope he doesn't give in...let them burn their fucking stone villages to the ground, I just don't give a shit anymore.
I like guys like Oldtimer who are reasonable and rationale and can carry on a debate without threatening to kill someone..but these people in the streets over there just need to die.
Quite frankly, giving in to their childish antics only reinforces to them that their antics are acceptable and effective. Did Christians riot in the streets when some "artist" put a picture of the "virgin" Mary in a jar of piss? No.
And, yet, somehow, a fucking cartoon of Mohammed is cause for armed rebellion? The worst part being that the sissified pussies of the West actually gave in to their fucking temper tantrums and wouldnt' show the cartoons.
This is why I need to be a billionaire. I would have bought 35 newspapers and ran it on the front page for as long as it took until they shut the fuck up. I would also start the Partneship for a Drug-filled America, but that's a different topic.

In the meantime, Hindus are whaling on Sikhs and Muslims in the Kashmere, and a few hours south of that , Buddhist nationalists in Sir Lanka (that's right, buddhists!) are wiping out Tamils.
Of all the great religions today, the same can be said: none of them are currently suffering from a shortage of pyschopaths.
